Co-worker brought a package of “wild hog” that he killed for me to cook for lunch today. Brought hot dog buns too. So, I guess it’s wild hog sausage dogs for lunch! and it’s only 8:15 a.m. heh
Cool at ballpark. Brisk breeze. Hope it lasts all day like yesterday.

Good morning! Working, but still at home: IG had to take the car to the shop. It overheated last night when we got to IG3’s birthday dinner destination. Oi. So I’m working trying to make sure I’m not too far behind when I actually get there!

Morning, stormy night. No damage on my hill but a lot of power and phone outages. Lineman has been out all night trying to restore power out in the county. Mom and Da haven’t had power since 9:30 last night.
I posted yesterday, pluck must have had it for breakfast.
Some “heavy dew” at ballpark. Infield is tarped. Expect about an hour delay for start id first game. Will make for a late night for second shift.
Ready for a big weekend! Cub’s “brother from another mother” is graduating Med School tomorrow, Baby A will be home, and working Sat night! Looking forward to it all!!

Morning! Everyone needs at least one brother from another mother. I’m lucky to have several, especially since I’m an only child.
I saw on the news this morning that even though Diane’s body hasn’t been found, her “sweet thang” has been charged with murder.
I just found out I have Monday off! I completely forgot it was a holiday! YAY!
I’ve been playing the role of Mad Scientist this morning. Picked up dry ice at 6:30 a.m. from the grocery store (they saved it for me!) Made smoke rings from a vortex generator (Styrofoam cup with plastic over the opening and a nickel-sized hole cut in the bottom.) Tap the plastic and it creates an air vortex shooting out the hole. If you fill the cup with smoke, you can see the vortex in the form of smoke rings. I’m going to make one out of a 5 gallon bucket. I should be able to knock cups off kids’ heads from at least 10 feet away!

Morning everybody!! We didn’t have wake services last night at the funeral home because we are waiting on Aunt Elaine’s granddaughter to get here from California. So Jon and I went to see Captain Jack.
On the way home it got stormy. Lightning back lit three vortexes hanging in the sky like a giant bird claw hovering over the hill. It was awesome. At least they were high and didn’t come down. We got home just as the wind, rain and hail hit.
We’ve had rain this morning! Praise the Lord!

I’m off to the Thursday game! Think aces, kings, queens and jacks and lots of them! I’m going AFK for a while.

Captain Jack was just as good the second time around as he was last Saturday when I watched him. This movie is only two hours though, I feel gipped. It was more along the lines of the very first movie. Good story line, well done. And at the end you can almost read what the next movie will be about.
I think he had fun, although he wanted to go to Dollar Tree and we had to go ahead and head home. I’m hoping Saturday that we can take him to the place he really wants to go… Bass Pro Shop.
Wild hog sausage was yummy! Co-worker that brought the meat wanted cookies for desert so I just took some Reeses PB cup cookies out of the oven. YUM!

Cool story of the day:
Our minister of music was at a church on the coast during and after Katrina. That church built several houses for people who lost them to the storm. We are going to be using those same house plans to build a house for a lady in Leakesville who lost her home to the tornado last month. Bro. of Music took her down to the coast to look at some of those houses. One lady who received a Katrina-built house has now made the first contribution towards a tornado-built house! Pay it forward…… :)

For our game today, G made her lemon squares that are the best I’ve ever tasted. They have coconut in them, but it tastes like grated lemon rind. I was surprised to find out they had coconut in them. I posted the recipe a few months ago.

Leagle, I hate to disappoint you, but it was one of those things where you buy a tub of dough as a fundraiser. Someone had bought two tubs of pre-made dough to support a child but didn’t want to take it home. So we have it there in the fridge. I had already thawed the Reeses PB so I baked some today. I took the Chocolate Chunk from the freezer and put them in the fridge today so I’ll be baking some of those next week. Cheating I know. Spoon tablespoons onto a cookie sheet. I can manage that!
Poppy went home today. I am looking forward to going up to Eburg this weekend and actually getting to spend some time with the wee one! From the stories I’m hearing, she’s already exerting an attitude! LOL! A girl after my own heart!

Lets see… she was born at 12:41 p.m. Tuesday. Couldn’t go home yesterday because it hadn’t been 24 hours before checkout. It’s now 8:20 on Thursday. So she’s less than 60 hours old?? Rotten. She will be. I just got off the phone with Big Sis and A. She’s doing just fine!
