Greetings from Branson! It was 60 degrees when we got here yesterday. Kiddo did not bring any long pants. She was freezing! Supposed to get to mid 70s today. We’re going to Silver Dollar City today and, if Pirates 4 is playing at the Imax, we’ll go to it tonight.

Molly, hope you have a great time. The cave at Silver Dollar City is worth the time if you like that sort of thing. But wait, we haven’t been there since 1966. Silver Dollar City was the big draw in the Branson area back then.

It’s quiet at my house. Mr. H and the Eldest have gone to work and the Reds and their friend are still asleep. Since it’s nice outside, Mrs. Jones is not freaking out any longer. All I hear is the clock ticking and an occasional wasp as it runs into the glass on my front door.

Good morning (barely morning)! Been tinkering.
Tried to make a quick run to WalMart. #%!$# going to Wally World has become a frustrating experience. They change the stock around about once a month. Guess they think that will keep me there looking. Nope, nada, nyet! I am a specific shopper. I go for what I want, find it, buy it and walk out. I like to to be in and out of a store in 15 minutes or less.
My idea of shopping is sitting at home on the computer, not pushing an empty cart from one end of WalMart to another. And, no, I do not recommend shopping on line with WalMart….been there, done that, got the t-shirt. Two horrible experiences.

I try and only go to walmart on Sundays to get the CL for .99 cents so my psrrot has something to poop on for the week. LOL!!! I do buy cat food and a few other items. I am missing our Fred’s I would go there to buy my liter dt. dr. pepper. Family dollar or no one other than Kroger carries them besides the gas stations stored who charges yo much.

Well, it doesn’t look like mid-70s is going to happen. It has warmed up to mid-60s. It was 53 when we headed to Silver Dollar City. Our first stop was a shop to buy jackets. It started raining around 1:30, so we headed back. Kiddo and I went to the Hollywood Wax Museum. That was fun. Card, I had my picture taken with Captain Jack Sparrow! We’re going to see Pirates 4 at 9:00. Not sure what we’ll do between now and then.

Got out of the office a bit early…went by and visited with kittiekids. listened to the Boss on the radio…. visited with Friend and G in CS…buried a little downy woodpecker that hit the window and had an untimely death… but, it’s all good… we can still celebrate new life, even as some pass…

It’s hard to believe that husband #2 was buried on Memorial Day in 1972.

I have been trying to balance the check book to no evail. Started watching the Benjamin Button movie with Brad Pitt from 2008 recording the rest of it since it goes off at 11:20 pm. Watcing local at 10:08 pm;

Headed to Gray Center in a while for the Bishop’s BBQ, a huge “family reunion” of Episcopalians from throughout the state. There will be food, drink, a silent auction, a band or two, cardboard boat races (with real people in them), a footrace (don’t know the length), and lots of friendly people. We do this every year with or without the Bishop. Lot’s of people stay overnight for the whole weekend. It’s a fun time.

Yea for me!!!!! I did it, I did it!!! my check book is balanced. I was only short by .04 cents when I just went back and figured out that I subtracted an amount for Sherwin Williams but never added that amount in to offset it. (I know that doesn’t make since to you), but when I figured that stupid mistake it left me .04 cents short which was an error on another transaction where I wrote $??.18 and it should have been $??.14 cents. Now for more fun!!! Time to pay the bills. LOVELY—Not :( but thankfully I have a job and earn money to be able to survive.

Barb, I was plesantly surprised when I stopped at WG’s in Clinton and found my Dt Dr Peppers $1.00 limit 3. I hardly ever look at the adds in the CL on Sundays. I look through the coupons in hopes ever finding coups for shampoo, deodorant, and Crest toothpaste.

The BBQ event was a fun occasion. I think everybody had a great time. The “Bish Ship”, the official cardboard boat of the Diocesean office which had the Bishop and one other rowing, came in second. I think three boats sank at various stages of the race.

Checking in. Granny’s in the hospital again, getting blood yet again. At least she’s now done with chemo. Now if we can just get her to eat.
Had to take Mr Fab to the after hours clinic Friday. He boogered up his back big time last weekend, and Friday afternoon his R leg went numb. He’s on meds with an MRI on tap next week. Meds are working-at least he’s sleeping now. Doctor ordered R & R this weekend, so we fished today. I’ll have a few to clean in the morning and they are on ice.
