  7. OldBopper says:

Happy Anniversary to Mr and MrsH!!

Went to early church and then to Home Depot to get some paint samples to spread on the walls of the dining room. I love the fact we can get samples and see what they look like before deciding on a specific color. We have some material samples which we will check against the paint color of choice.

I think we are going to pull up the carpet in that room and our bedroom and pull up the wooden floor in the foyer, hallway, and half bath and put down gunstock oak flooring in it’s place.

OB, if you need some expert help, two of my sons have been professional floor men for 25 years.

Marshall, you did a great job. I hope the grandparents are getting to babysit and that you and MrsR are having some great down time.

BE just left to go fishing and I’m messing around. I will admit that I’m a Bejewled 3 aholic on msngames.com.

  12. parrotmom says:

I finished whatching the 1974 block buster “The Towering Inferno”. I am not sure if I ever watched that movie before. None of the scenes brought back any recolection of ever seeing it.

  13. Clucky says:

Ann, u ain’t right girl. Heh.

Visiting the pool for the first time this summer. Enjoying this weekend as Mr Fab has dr’s orders for R&R after over-doing it last weekend. Very pleasant :)

MR, your story from the perspective of those lost in war gave me chills. Dang, you are good. I’m glad Banjo is able to enjoy the vacay with you and the she-Boss.

Be safe. I’m working tomorrow. Folks gotta eat! What we do tomorrow will be what we eat on The 4th of July!

  14. parrotmom says:

so sorry Clucky :( I am glad you and Mr. Fab had a good R&R weekend. I hope MIL is doing as best as can be expected.

  15. parrotmom says:

Lucky for me I needed a projector that would do a Super 8mm reel to reel and found one in Star, MS. I just hope the reels play like they should. My older model projector would not play them correctly. Keep your fingers crossed for me. I will be getting it tomorrow.

  16. parrotmom says:

my oh my where is everyone?

  17. Ann Onimous says:

Here! Watching Father of the Bride Part 2. I want to go to sleep, but I know darn well it will be a waste of time trying.

  19. clucky says:

Egads! I am first at 5:54! Granted I have been up since 415, but that’s another story.

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY TO ALL OF OUR VETERANS!

You know who you are. ((((hugs))))

Hi ho, hi ho, it’s off to iron I go….

  20. OldBopper says:

G’mawin’. Garbage is out, flag is posted.

Freedom is not free. It’s a costly luxury to be enjoyed by all but paid for by the few.

  21. dhcoop says:

Mornin! Just saw an inspiring story about a Veteran who nearly burned to death 4 years ago and has turned his horror into a successful comedy show and helping other injured vets. Awesome guy.

  22. parrotmom says:

8:37 am good morning to everyone. I will be making a run to either Florence or Richland to get my new used projector. I am looking forward to getting to know it.

  23. parrotmom says:

Happy Memorial Day to everyone. Thanks to all our military and to their families who have given and still give so much for our freedom.

I wonder where Airwolf has been he hasn’t been around for a couple of days. I hope he and his family are doing ok.

  24. parrotmom says:

I see where AW was on the tale end of the Thursday FFA wishing everyone a good Sunday morning. I still hope all is ok.

  25. Airwolf says:

Good morning all. Everything is great, just been busy! I hope everyone has a good. We’re headed to Baby Darlings in a bit. Gonna grill some burgers and enjoy our freedom!!

  26. parrotmom says:

Good to see you there AW enjoy the cook out. I looked at the hotdogs yesterday, the only problem is I would have to eat all eight of them, but they are a lot better on the grill than boiled. As kids we would slice them open and fry them. I haven’t done that in years.

  27. parrotmom says:

I could not believe this yesterday. I made my normal Sunday run for cat food and a paper. Then decided what the heck I may as well stop at El Sombrero and enjoy my chicken quesadilia and a few chips. I was in one of the front booths on one side of the register and a rather large man sitting by himelf eating away. I could not believe that he loudly belched several times. He did not even try to make the quiet. How rude is that? I guess it could have been worse with loud releases of gas.

  28. parrotmom says:

Ok I will stop talking to myself. I am enjoying hearing my parrot just chatter away :)

  29. Airwolf says:

PM I’m listening, while spinning up some homemade ice cream. So good you’d swallow your tongue.

  30. parrotmom says:

wow it has been many years since I had homemade ice cream. I remember my mom and dad making it with the old crank and we would sit atop of it. We would have ice cream socials at the church. It was fun tasting all the flavors.

  31. OldBopper says:

Afternoon. Had a great ride on Boule this morning. Headed over to get “military special price” tickets for tonight’s Braves game. I can get three tickets for less than one of my season tickets cost, so I’ll save the season ticket for another game. (I only bought the mini-season ticket plan.)

AW, that homemade ice cream sounds mighty good. Have a big ole spoonfull for me.

  32. parrotmom says:

OB enjoy the game, glad you had a nice ride on Boule :)

  33. parrotmom says:

I have my projector now to see how it works and sounds.
