    Mornin!

Had a good night’s sleep last night, and am ready for the day! I hope everyone has a good one and they continue to get better.

  2. Mrs. H says:

Getting ready for VBS, but I forgot to do payroll last night before I left the church (I didn’t leave until 8 p m) to go get El and then I didn’t get home until 10. I’ll go in and try to do that before I report for stage duty at 8. Our bible story today is the Parable of the Whiny Workers . I get to be the worker hired for just one hour.

  3. pncpnthr says:

Morning, all. Hot again today…I hope we get rain soon…

  4. OldBopper says:

G’morning. Hope everybody has a good day.

Whiny Workers…..that’s too cute. I shoulda known MrsH that you would be the one causing all the ruckus. ;~)

PQ is in North Carolina. They don’t have cell service at the conference center there so I have to wait until the come down from “the mountain” to get a call or a message. But with Cellular South, receiving that communication in Brandon is spotty at best.

    • Barb says:

What part of NC? My grands live in Raeford.

      • OldBopper says:

Kanuga is an Episcopal conference center and camp located on 1,400 acres of mountain terrain near Hendersonville, NC. I’ve never been, but PQ says it is a beautiful site.

  5. dhcoop says:

Goodness! Walked into a firestorm this morning! The AC that controls my Boss’ part of the building isn’t working! 80 in his office. YIKES! Was on the phone by 7:30 trying to get help. Hope they get here soon!

  6. parrotmom says:

Good morning PD didn’t sleep too well last night. He kept taking the oxygen thing off his finger then playing with it and me or the nurse putting it back on. This morning the 2 drs came in and asked him some questions. He was so glassy eyed and was dreaming but could answer there questions pretty close to correctly, but then as soon as they left back to his live dreaming again. They are calling it ICU psychosis? and that he will be better once put in a regular room. He’s not as bad as he was Saturday but I think he slept too much yesterday that kept him awake more last night. We will see how the day progresses.

Clucky glad Mr. Fab and his mom are better. Coop I hope it is cooling now or will be soon. Love and hugs to all. Prayers for all that is in need and thanks for all your support.

    • Barb says:

I googled ICU Psychosis. It sounds pretty rough, but from what I read, he will do better in a regular room. Hope he continues to improve.

  7. msblondie says:

    morning gang! busy day.

hope all have a good day.

  8. dhcoop says:

    Environment Masters ROCKS!

  9. Airwolf says:

Morning folks. PM, I hope PD continues to improve.

    It’s so hot, it’s oppresive!!

  10. Legal Eagle says:

The dog and her master slept in this morning for a change, but they’re up and we’re having some yummy poppy seed muffins.

  11. OldBopper says:

Lunch is a balogna and salami sammich with lettuce and some wonderful tomato along with cole slaw, sea salt & pepper chips and a coke.

Started painting on the dining room this morning. Got about a third of a wall to go and then do the trimming and touchup. With luck I’ll finish today and double check the job tomorrow. Want PQ to be a happy girl when she gets home.

BTW AW, I’m using Behr premium plus which is a paint and primer in one. Easiest paint I’ve ever worked with.

    • Crystalbutterfly says:

OB I am glad to hear that about the paint I am planning on using that kind when I paint my bedroom when I decide what color I want

      • OldBopper says:

For $2.95 you can get a sample jar to paint on your wall to see how it looks. Our DR looked like it had measles because we sampled five colors before finally deciding. Most people wouldn’t sample that many, but PQ and I had different opinions and kept trying till we could agree on one.

  12. cardinallady says:

Afternoon! busy day! talk later. Yall have a good day. I am sorely itching to go to the ocean right about now.

  13. Molly says:

The puppies are running Kiddo to death! Ha! After 3 years of having an adult non-mobile dog, having 2 rambunctious puppies is a culture shock. They are into everything they can find.

  14. OldBopper says:

Everything I can paint standing on the floor is done. It’s ladder time. Should be through painting in a couple of hours at most.

  15. OldBopper says:

I don’t want to tell a fib. Everything except painting around the thermostat is done. I have to remove the thermostat so it will be done last. I like the air conditioning.

  16. John says:

Sarah Palin yesterday insisted her claim at the Old North Church last week that Paul Revere “warned the British” during his famed 1775 ride — remarks that Democrats and the media roundly ridiculed — is actually historically accurate. And local historians are backing her up.

    • Marshall Ramsey says:

Democrats, the media and many Republicans you mean. I heard what she said, know the history (including what “local historians” said) and did not think that was what she was taking about. If that is as clear as she can communicate, she has no business running for President. If that is what she is indeed doing.

  17. OldBopper says:

Time to clean up. Will peel the tape off after everything dries. Looks pretty good.

  18. dhcoop says:

It’s confirmed. Weiner is a weiner.

  19. parrotmom says:

I thought I posted this morning, oh well. Another rough and long night. Barb my boss sent me a link to read about it. So far no room. they are still monitoring him, but basically leaving him alone. He had his first physical therapy and once he was sitting on edge of the bed he had a quick sharp pain in the forehead they said that was due to being on his back for so long. He did sit in the chair for about 20 minutes then wanted back into bed. I think this was more painful for him. The nurse was given permission to give him low dose of hydrocodone. We both went to sleep and he is still a sleep–his heart rate and blood pressure have dropped emincely.
I have talked to both his children that pending when he is released that he is very weak and it maybe he will need to go in house rehab until it is said he is strong enough to be home alone to continue at home rehab and no it want be liked by PD it will be for his best interest. We cannot afford another accident that could take his life or paralyze him in anyway. I would not trust myself or anyone that was not a professionsal. Yes, accidents even happen with them, but atleast I did the best for him and I am sure you csn follow my train of thought from here.

Love and hugs to all :)

  20. parrotmom says:

Molly it sounds like kiddo is learning alot from the baby she kept sometime back to another full time job of puppy training during the day.

Coop did you get someone in to gey theAC up in running?

OB glad you are pleased with the color and an expertise job too!!!!

  21. parrotmom says:

you all have a good night and see you in the morning.

  22. dhcoop says:

    Evenin!

Yes, PM, Environmasters came thru and AC is just fine.

I hope PD continues to improve.

Got tickled at the fact that Kiddo is dealing with the new pupsters!! Molly, this will be a lesson in “tolerance”! LOL! and she better get any shoes she has a fondness for up and out of the way, because they won’t give a crap how expensive they are!! They will eat them regardless!!!

  23. Molly says:

Coop, they started chewing on her Toms shoes today WHILE she was wearing them. She’s keeping her door closed and they aren’t allowed in there. I don’t think Kiddo realized just how energetic puppies are. It’s been a LONG time since Roller Dog was a pup!

    • dhcoop says:

LOL!!! She had no idea what she was getting in to!! HOWEVER… she wanted this, so now she has to deal with it!! She has to realize that pups are a lifetime commitment. You can be looking at MANY years (what, 14-18 years??) with a pup like this?? She’ll have babies of her own that get to know these dogs. Bless her heart. It’s a HUGE commitment! and she has TWO?? LOL!!

      • dhcoop says:

Oh, and please tell Kiddo I’m not laughing AT her…I’m just laughing at the circumstances…Tell her to go kick her Dad in the shin. This was his idea in the first place…

Taking on a puppy is no small thing… taking on two is freaking scary!!! I’m sure by now your household is TOTALLY going crazy with the ankle-biting, garbage-sniffing-chew on everything attitude!!

All I can say is GOOD LUCK!!

  24. dhcoop says:

    Environment Masters = Environmasters…

Fingers too fast for the keyboard, apparently…

  25. Barb says:

Molly, hope you all survive the puppy stage!
PM, glad PD is getting better. Hope he continues to improve.
Tomorrow is my Friday and I actually have all my 3 days off!!! Next week, I only get 2!!
Have a nice and restful night everyone!!

  26. Clucky says:

Worked til 830. Exhausted. PIC is out all week-bad neck strain. Meetings and on the road all week. Changing offices.

That half glass of wine I had a while ago wasn’t even an “appetizer.” in the bednow, coming to u live from my new $50 iPhone. I upgraded to the 3 GS out of necessity. Chicklette will be in Gulf Shores this weekend, and P’cola the next. I can’t go that long without hearing from her! Her phone gave up the ghost this weekend, so now she has my 3G.

Gnite. Pray that I dont kill anybody this week. Today was tempting, but distance saved them.

  27. parrotmom says:

nite lite is on and PD has been a sleep since maybe 12 or 1 this afternoon. With the way his weekend went bad I am so thankful. what ever time that he went I wasn’t too far behind and probably slept longer if my phone had not rang at 3:00 pm.
