I can’t remember if I have said anything about my kittie girls this week. Itty Bitty is all about wanting to be petted. As soon as she comes in that is all she wants. I need to change Tinker Bell’s name to “Ninja Kittie” she runs in as fast as she can, disappears and runs right back out. In and out running as fast as she can. She is hilarious, I can eventually pet her when the food goes into the bowl. They are still small probably because they stay busy night and day but they do love me.

My parrot and I have worked out a nice routine and last night was the first time he let me pet his head in the past two weeks and when I did all the flakes and pieces of the sheaths that bring the new feathers in went a flying. I know he fills better not having all that stuff tucked under.

PD has been to the gym for the past two days and is pleased with hisself. The only problem is once back in his room his neck even with pain meds will hurt for hours before he gets some relief. Thanks for all your kind thoughts and prayers for his recovery.

    Good morning.

I’ve been married to MrsBlues aka bullyduck for 27 years today.

The air conditioner quit in my work lab….2 work stations, a laptop, and a bunch of gas detecting equipment are going to get awful hot in a little while….not to mention the unit manager…me.

Sigh…..it’s going to be a long day.

  7. Marshall Ramsey says:

Congrats, Blues. Hope you two have a blessed (even if it is long) day.

  8. MickeyMouseLover says:

Morning all!! We are bringing 2 friends with us Saturday! Can’t wait to see all of you again.

  9. Airwolf says:

  13. dhcoop says:

    Happy Anniversary Blues!

  14. clucky says:

Happy 27 years, Blues and bullyduck! I sure hope your a/c gets up and running again quick, fast and in a hurry! Forget the electronics-go get in your truck with the ac on to cool off every once in a while and drink lots of water!

    I feel rough. ‘Nuf said.

If I had to be off work, I wish I could at least get a little bit done around here. The prednisone kept me up til almost 3am. That feeling of exhaustion but the whirring mind drives me NUTS. Hope Mr Fab brings the stuff by soon for the nebs so I can get them going. Using an inhaler for now, but I know it doesn’t work nearly as well as the machine. I’m ready to yawn, sigh and take a deep breath without coughing. Stupid grass allergy.

MR, your earlier story about the guy having the heart attack and wishing he had spent more time with his family echoes my sentiments about working-and I tell this to all my managers, and would tell the CEO if I ever met him: Take care of your family, spend time with them-remember you work to support your family, but not become a human sacrifice. When/if something happens to you, who is going to take care of you? The Chairman of the Board isn’t going to…of that, you can be certain. If you can’t spend a lot of time, make it quality time-and that doesn’t cost a red cent. My boys remember me doing silly stuff with them like having a roly-poly catching contest while their infant sister was napping. I tried my best to spend time with them when she was little so they wouldn’t feel cast aside or ignored. Now she and I will spend time having “girl time” and painting each other’s nails. It’s amazing how much you learn about your kids and their social lives by just being there to listen. If she has a problem, I don’t tell her how to fix it…she talks about it, and comes up with the solution on her own. I wish I had been more like that with my boys; I was too busy trying to keep their lives from being flipped upside down when their dad and I divorced, and would just fix whatever the problem was on my own, and now they are finally learning how to manage their money, getting jobs, paying the rent, etc. They are both out of the house and living next door in Mom’s place. I get to see them almost daily, but I have only been over there a couple of times in the past month. Thing 2 is still looking for a job, and Thing 1 is trying to get a full time job. He has discovered he can pay his rent, utilities and gas on part time making minimum wage, but that is ALL. They are growing up too fast; twenty in 5 weeks.

Sorry, didn’t mean to ramble. Blame the steroids.

Clucky, you are right, we must be sisters separated at birth. :) I guess I enjoyed my years with Jon so much because I was older when he was born, 30 years old, and I realized how fast my younger brothers and sisters grew up. We bought a tossing ring yesterday for us to play with while we are camping out at Roosevelt tonight and tomorrow night. I’m going to have him put some glow in the dark paint on it so we can see it in the dark.

    • Barb says:

Clucky, are Thing 1 and Thing 2 twins? Sorry you are having such a bad time with your allergies.

  15. The Real JB says:

    Hello everyone.
Hope all is well with you.
I’ve been working trying to find some new avenues to market and sell insurance.

    • cardinallady says:

JB Hope you find those new trails to got down with insurance sales. I’m sure glad there are folks like you who likes to sell and deal in numbers.

  16. cardinallady says:

*siggghhhh* I AM SO looking forward to my red bird convention this weekend. I NEEED the time to catch my breath. We are busy, stories are popping everywhere. Just now gatting in.

  17. cardinallady says:

Well, just so yall know, today is my Friday. And I was going to stay until 3 (did you catch that? WAS) But now as soon as my boss or somebody else gets here to relieve me, I AM GONE!!!

  18. OldBopper says:

Happy Anniversary to Blues and Bullyduck!!

Got home about an hour ago. Through for the day. Tomorrow I will spend all my time in Jackson.

Glad to hear the good news on PD.

Y’all, don’t forget to toss some dollars toward Coop on Saturday. She forked over the $40 rental fee. I think she ate most of it last year, so help her out this year.

I think PQ is going to make some baked beans to go with my brownies.

I’ve been the only one to bring a fan in the past. Don’t let that happen this year or you will be hot. I plan on hogging my fan on occasion.

Cardinal, are y’all staying tonight and Friday night?

  19. clucky says:

We have pictures of me hogging somebody’s fan last year with my dress pulled up. LOL CLady, are y’all planning to fish? I hope the bream are bedding this weekend since we finally have a full moon, and they seem to be running a month behind.

  20. Mrs. H says:

Happy anniversary, Blues and BullyDuck. Mr. H and I are 2 years and 2 weeks ahead of you.

We made it back home about 1:00 this afternoon. Not nearly and hot or thirsty as when we arrived in Birmingham on Tuesday afternoon. We ran into rain twice today, but were prepared, so it wasn’t an issue. If you want the full story of our trip and my one issue, you can click on my name and it’ll take you to my blog, complete with a few pictures.

Now I’m glad to be home!

  21. Mrs. H says:

OB, in answer to your question about highway bars, they aren’t available for my bike. They do make frame sliders for the Fizzer, but where I dropped her (in the grass right beside the roadway) the roadway was built up a few inches and that is where the peg hit. I don’t think anything could have prevented what happened barring my having superhuman upper body strength!!

    • OldBopper says:

Enjoyed your report on your trip. FYI, I got a replacement clutch handle for $4.95 that looks and works like the original. My guess is the foot peg will be much more expensive than you think. I checked today on a replacement brake handle. There’s not an aftermarket one available and an OEM handle is $94.50 plus tax. I didn’t break the end off, the previous owner did.

      Glad y’all made it safely.

    • Barb says:

      Loved your story!

  22. OldBopper says:

I learned something today. Don’t ever, ever drive past a Waffle House in search of a Ward’s Big Breakfast. I did it but I won’t again. I heard numerous radio commercials for the Ward’s Big Breakfast and decided to give it a try.

    • clucky says:

Come to my town. Our Ward’s is GOOOOOOD. However, not sure I would pit it against Waffle House. I’m still craving whatever the restaurant is that just opened with the truck stop in Pearl…oh shoot, what’s the name of it? Pilot?

  23. dhcoop says:

Evenin! I’m at the Attache’ spring show. Its great!

  24. parrotmom says:

    hello! it’s me.

  25. parrotmom says:

Coop I did not know that they do a show after the school year is over or is this the first year that they have done this?

  26. parrotmom says:

I hope AnnO is doing better.

  27. clucky says:

Howdy. How’s PD? You still spending the night at Select?

  28. dhcoop says:

I’m home! Great show! PM, they did a musical workshop with a lot of kids trying out to be in Attache’, then produce a show. The theme was Elvis.

My Baby Girls birthday is tomorrow. Freaking me out a bit.

  29. clucky says:

Is it one of those that ends in a zero or five? Boys turn TWENTY in six weeks. I’m trippin’ already.

  30. dhcoop says:

    Ends with a 5. Starts with a 3. I had her when I was 4. heh
