Woot woot! 625 and I am FIRST? WOW.

Steroids are doing there thing…even tho I didn’t sleep but 3 hours last night, I was up all bright and shiny at 5! Atrovent doesn’t taste like….anything, for those of you who will ever have to use the nebulizer treatments. Very effective..I feel like my lung capacity has doubled in the last 24 hours.

    Check in later!

  2. parrotmom says:

Good morning everyone. Clucky they have had PD on atrovent but he couldn’t tell if it affected him maybe that is another reason why he cannot nap during the day. They first had him on albuterol and that made his blood pressure and heart rate run way high. Last night was a bad night for sleep for me and for a change it wasn’t PD’s or the nurses fought. Oh, sleepy me!!!

  3. parrotmom says:

Happy Birthday to Coop’s “Baby Girl”. I promise you will survive it :) This coming from someone that had no children of her own but helped raise two others.

  4. clucky says:

PM, you don’t have to give birth to be a Mama.

Coop, Happy Birthday to your Baby Girl :)

  5. Mrs. H says:

We get one girl back today, one tomorrow, and I think one on Sunday (that’s the eldest and we’ll just see her when she gets here.)

I think I’ll go into work and see what needs to be done before I go to camp next week. I don’t really want to spend the night in my office Sunday night getting everything ready for me to be gone for another week.

  6. dhcoop says:

    Mornin!

Happy Birthday to my Baby Girl!! She and her Grandmother (baby daddy momma) are going to be coming by to see me this morning. She wants her “MaMaw” to see my office. She loves old buildings. Looking forward to showing it off.

Got a busy day here but wanted to check in. I’m planning on bringing two fans tomorrow. Does anyone have a spare power strip and/or extension cords they can throw in the mix? We may have more fans than power!

    I’m excited!

  7. blues4you says:

    Good morning.

Odds are getting pretty slim on attending the picnic tomorrow.

  8. Barb says:

Happy Birthday to Baby Girl!! Coop, I am about to send you a message on Facebook.

  9. Barb says:

Clucky, Denny’s is the restaurant at the truck stop in Pearl.

  10. dhcoop says:

Has anyone mentioned ice and drinks?

  11. msblondie says:

morning gang! hope everyone has a great day!

coop – happy birthday to ya daughter.

  12. The Real JB says:

    Hello Folks!
Got to work early. I’ve got a wedding tomorrow so rehersal tonight to get to. Weddings are my least favorite ministry related thing that I do. I would rather do a funeral.

My daughter is running her first 5K tomorrow. Anxious to see how that goes.

  13. OldBopper says:

I’ll bring a power strip and a heavy duty extension cord.

Drove in the morning traffic this morning to downtown Jackson. Attended a meeting as I was supposed to and now am home. Finished my work for the week….oops, the month.

It’s a pretty day outside, even though a bit warm. I think I may take a long ride today on the Natchez Trace.

  14. The Real JB says:

If Tank pokes her head in get her to tell you how she was kicked out of Jellystone…

  15. The Real JB says:

Just so you know you get a discount if you show your AAA card at Denny’s.

  16. The Real JB says:

And Tank…just so you know Jeff B. is not worthy to even wear Chuck N.’s boots.

  17. Airwolf says:

Afternoon! We had another 1 1/4 inch of much need rain. Now the sun is out and muggy.

We will not be able to come tomorrow! Wanted to but too many conflicts. Maybe we can schedule one in the fall. We’re headed to Florida later today. Y’all have blast and make a lot of pics!

  18. The Real JB says:

See…I don’t forgot who the other J.B. is.

    Jeff B. = Jeff Bower.

  19. parrotmom says:

I think JB means Jack Bauer of “24”.

  20. Mrs. H says:

JB, why don’t you like weddings?

  21. parrotmom says:

MrsH, I wondered the same thing? I sometimes wonder about the receptions afterwards with the alcohol and some folks drinking too much. You can still have a nice and happy reception without it. Not beating up on people and religions that approve as long as not abused.

  22. tank says:

I have to get this off my chest…my last two bosses are just plain stupid.

    • The Real JB says:

That is not very Christian to say.

      • Legal Eagle says:

And there is nothing Christian about a lot of bosses!

        • tank says:

that’s true eagle. I have been lucky that both of those men are Christians. They just don’t know much about this industry. I’m not being mean, I’m being honest. That’s why the previous one was fired and why the current ones’ job is being advertised right now.

  23. The Real JB says:

MrsH…usually there is tension. I guess part of me is worried about goofing up something that will be forever remembered. And I will go ahead and put this out here…there are a good number of people who want to have a church wedding that could care less about ever stepping into the church again. But on this particular day they want their decisions to be blessed. But listen folks this is just my opinion and you are entitled to yours as well.

  24. parrotmom says:

AW glad you received more rain and hope you and Rambette have wonderful trip.

  25. Legal Eagle says:

Don’t pay the ransom; I’ve been turned loose! My computer screen wouldn’t come on Tuesday morning and BE turned the computer off and then it wouldn’t come back on. I called my friend and took it over to him and he had to put a power pack in it. We went and got it yesterday afternoon, but forgot the power cord and will have to go back. We now have one of the computers BE has for sale hooked up temporarily.

Happy Birthday Molly and Ann! Happy Anniversary to Blues and Bullyduck!! And Happy Birthday to Coop’s baby!

I’m looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow. And as OB said, y’all make sure you give Coop a few dollars to reimburse her for paying the $40.00 fee for the pavillion. I had no idea she came up short last year and I guess we should have passed a hat around while we were there.

  26. msblondie says:

this afternoon is dragging.. not that i dont have work to do.. just not into today.

  27. OldBopper says:

Afternoon. Just finished a 90 mile ride on Boule. We traveled mostly on the Trace from Hwy 43 to Doaks Stand and then back to the Reservior. Had some highway miles and some country road miles included. The Air Intake 2 jacket (by Tourmaster) did a great job. No sweat until I got into some stop and go traffic.

Now gotta go bake some brownies! PQ has already done her beans.

  28. clucky says:

About to make a PILE of tater salad. I am going to try my hand at making baked potato salad, but I know it won’t touch The Shed’s recipe (which is straight from Sysco and TO DIE FOR.) We are grilling burgers tonight, and Mr Fab made brownies for me last night to try to perk me up. I think his feeling was hurt (yes, FEELING=(n.) singular) that I didn’t eat the whole pan; even though I am on steroids out the wazoo, eating brownies after the FANTASTIC SPAGHETTI he made last night was impossible. The best EVER, bar none. So….if yall don’t want tater salad, you better call me because I am about to start cutting up potatoes! I think I can make a combination of the baked potato casserole and potato salad that should be “off the chain.” We’ll see.

Be warned…Chicklette is beside herself with excitement about tomorrow. There are rumors of an official “MRBA” cake being made, but that is all her; I have enough to do! She can bake as well as I can, and can certainly decorate a cake much better than I can. Granted…she took a class. Stinker. So, anywho, there may be a cake. Maybe.

  29. blues4you says:

Cluck, every time you mention steroids I get a picture of you “bustin’ at the seams” like the Incredible Hulk. I don’t know why…..

That being said, I hope y’all have a great time tomorrow. I’m sorry I’m not going to make it.

  30. clucky says:

Oh yeah, I am busting out at the seams, alright. Ironically, it’s because I have rearranged a few pounds, not really losing it. I’ve discovered that as my backside returns to it’s tray table position (heh) that my pants will slip down if I forget to put on a belt. I have 3 prs of pants to mend that I split right down the middle because I didn’t hitch up my breeches before squatting. OOPS. Blues, we sure are gonna miss ya tomorrow. You aren’t but an hour away from me now, right up Hwy 15. For that matter, MrsH is off of 15 South! (methinks)

  31. Mrs. H says:

I wish I was going to be there, but Em gets home sometime around noon and then she’s got to wash all those clothes and repack them to leave Monday morning. I just don’t think we can work it in with time/space as we know it.

JB, I know EXACTLY what you mean about non-church folks wanting a church wedding. Why do they do that? I think those people would make life easier on everyone if they scheduled it for a secular venue. Then no one would be worried about upsetting or offending folks they don’t know.

  32. clucky says:

Marshall just talked about our pickanick on the air!!! And that we all met on the blog, and now we are friends for life. INDEED.

  33. Mrs. H says:

Clucky, last year we were coming from a family reunion in Raleigh. We are actually just off Hwy 98 right at the MS-AL line. From what I can tell 15 South ends about Beaumont.

  34. clucky says:

Ah-hem. I got married at the picnic last year. I know our minister performed the service among a group of fellow Christians, but I do declare, it was hot as Hades. Tomorrow looks to be the same way again!

  35. parrotmom says:

I hope you all have a great time, eat a hotdog or a burger for me. I know if PD knew he would tell me to go, but I am playing catch up at work and even though I would have a good time with all of you I would feel guilty that PD would be alone. I know there are people that would say so what, but I know you all understand my sentiments.

  36. dhcoop says:

Evenin! I know we don’t have a good head count, but it will be fun and we’ll have plenty regardless. I hate it for those that can’t make it, but we understand.

  37. dhcoop says:

Clarifying “plenty” meaning food. We can never have too many people!

  38. parrotmom says:

JB prayers for your daughter and her first 5K run. I hope she succeeds.

  39. dhcoop says:

I have no idea what I’m wearing tomorrow. Clucky, tell Chicklette I’m trying to find “the shirt”. If I can find it (and still get in it), that’s what I’ll wear.

  40. OldBopper says:

Since we don’t have a firm headcount, I’ll bring blank name tags.

  41. Barb says:

About to call it a day, but I just want to wish you all great fun tomorrow. Wish I could be there! Somebody eat one of OB’s brownies for me!!! Have a good night, everyone.

  42. Ann Onimous says:

IG and I will be with you in spirit tomorrow. I hope you all have a blast!

  43. The Real jb says:

    Yall have fun

  44. dhcoop says:

    Mornin!

Jb, I sure wish you could be with us today. You and everyone else that can’t be there will be missed. But we’ll have you with us in spirit!

I’m trying to figure out what all I need to do. Looking forward to the day!

  45. OldBopper says:

Mawnin’ y’all. Looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible. It’ll be a hot and happy day!

  46. Barb says:

Morning!! Ya’ll all have fun at the pick-a-nick!!
