    Mornin

Yes, tough day ahead for sure. Going to the funeral of an old friend and former boss today. I loved him SO much. Marshall, I appreciated your kind words about him on the show yesterday afternoon.

  2. parrotmom says:

    Good morning to everyone.

Prayers for you Coop and for Clucky’s unspoken request.

Clucky that is what I am afraid of for PD that he will be home alone and I would rather wait till after his next mri after the first 6 weeks are up.

Barb I hope you days become easier and MrsH may be at youth camp but it doesn’t sound like anyone is getting any rest.
    Prayers and hugs to all.

  3. OldBopper says:

Mawnin’ y’all. Nice outside this morning.

Boss, hope you have a good trip to the Delta.

    Grandsons are wearing me out.

  4. Mrs. H says:

When we left the Boys and Girls club yesterday, a little girl decided that I was her adopted Grandmother. Some kids are easy to get to know. There was another girl who really didn’t seem to want to have anything to do with us. Then her group went to the art room. They were designing a team flag. There was butcher paper to brainstorm designs on, so I just started doodling. Apparently, that is what appeals to that child. We sat and drew rose buds and ice cream cones and bubbles and she was happier than she had been all day. You just have to find a connection with some people and don’t be governed by first impressions.

A guy in one of the adult leader seminars had one of these:

Yes, I chased him down and told him about the hand made one from a 5 gallon bucket and a shower curtain I had made for VBS!! It’s a good thing my daughters weren’t in there with me. They HATE it when I do that!

I have used something like that before, MrsH. I helped with the “Science is Phun” day at the elementary school when Kiddo was in 3rd and 4th grades. All the kids in 3rd – 5th grade came through 50 or so stations doing different scientific experiments. The first year, I was assigned to the air gun thing (can’t remember what it was called). We had to blow out candles with it from 10-15 feet away. Then the kids had to try to figure out how it worked. The second year, we went for our assignments and to learn how to do the projects ourselves before the kids came in. I wanted something different, but the guy that ran the program remembered me and asked me to demonstrate the air gun. I was afraid I couldn’t do it and would be embarrassed in front of all those parents. He handed me the thing and had 3 candles lit. I missed the first time and knew I was going to be embarrassed. Got a candle the second shot. I offered the “gun” to the person assigned to it that year and she declined. So, I aimed at the second candle and got it and then got the third on my next try. It was pure luck, but it sure impressed all the parents! I could probably never do it again!

Hey guys! I know, I’ve been quiet and actually I haven’t even had time to lurk. I look here, see all the requests for prayer and needs and am reminded how blessed I am and think my concernns really aren’t all that big. But today I will ask for a little prayer. I have been chasing neurological symptoms for 8 years now with no good answers. There have been a lot of changes in this activity for the past 6 weeks and I see my neurologist today. I am ready for an answer, whatever it may be. I know I won’t get one today, but I desire to get a plan in place that will provide more answers. I’m tired of chasing and treating symptoms without knowing the cause of them.

I’m too private (I know this isn’t ‘that’ private) to post any of this on FB and, unless something major happens, you won’t see me post anything about this out there and I would appreciate it to stay that way…

Missed seeing everyone at the picnic! I thought about you all day while I helped my husband with VBS at church less than 3 miles from y’all.

  7. msblondie says:

  8. blues4you says:

    Home sweet home!

Had a little over 1″ of rain here yesterday. Neighbor has a couple of big limbs down. About to fire up the chainsaw and procure some nice wood for my outdoor fireplace.

  9. parrotmom says:

Blues good for you and the wood.

Happy Birthday to Tanks redheads, happy 4th to them.

  10. Molly says:

Mornin. Bout to come a big ole storm at the Rez. Lots of thunder and lightning. Wind is up and the rain has begun. Just in time for me to go home for lunch.
Hope Tank’s redheads are having a great day!

  11. Legal Eagle says:

I got a call the other day asking me to play bridge today and after discussion on my part about whether I was mature enough for that group, I agreed to go. Let’s hope I can stifle my laughter and don’t feel an urge to enter the room break dancing or some such other nonsense.

  12. The Real JB says:

Glad I have a job…just not glad to have a job selling insurance.

  13. dhcoop says:

Really nice service for my old friend.

  14. cardinallady says:

Red streak flying through, don’t put a tree or nothing in my way. Busy morning. My bosses grandmother died so I’m having to do the stuff she had scheduled for the day plus help put together a special section plus get my stuff done.

Also got a call from my mom and my second cousin once removed also died, will have her services Friday at 6 p.m. Going to be a busy couple or three days.

  15. Mrs. H says:

fixin’ to take 13 teens to eat at Olive Garden. Don’t y’all want to come!!!?

It should be a blast. This really is the cream of the crop that came on this trip. We have a couple of girls that just graduated, and some from every other grade…including a true 7th grader, who is the stereotypical 7th grade boy… goofy as all get out!

  16. OldBopper says:

At my sister’s in Vicksburg. My mother and her husband have joined us for dinner.

  17. Legal Eagle says:

I just put stuffed bell peppers and an eggplant casserole in the oven and have now ducked back into the air conditioning.

I didn’t have to crack a smile playing cards today, so I made it through.

  18. parrotmom says:

    That’s very interesting Molly.

OB I hope you all have an a very nice evening.

  21. tank says:

  22. parrotmom says:

the wizard also known as the nutritionist kept upping PD’s formula plus with almost the same amount of water. PD told the nurse that this wasn’t going to work and it didn’t. I want go into further detail. So now they have changed his formula and is to increase it by 25 milliliters every 4 hours all day and through out the night and still a lot of water. his urologist would be having a fit, thankfully he doesn’t have to worry with getting up every 5 or 10 minutes. I know hospitals are limited to what surplies they can obtain and if he could have what he gets at home he would not be having an issue.

one plus is he is not having to take any strong narcotic pain meds nor is he taking his tramadol either. I am not sure how he is not having low back pain unless it is the way you can manipulate the bed to give relief to the pressure points.

  23. parrotmom says:

msramona not sure how I have missed your comment all day. prayers for you for sure. please feel free to email at any time.

  24. parrotmom says:

    thanks Tank.

  25. parrotmom says:

Coop I hope Bug made it safe and sound and having a grand time already. How long will she be there?

nite lite is on and I am sure about 4 in the morning they will have every lite on in the room :)

  26. dhcoop says:

    Evenin!

I’ve been down in Gtown all evening with Big Sis and my BIL . Hadn’t really gotten a chance to visit with him and it’s been nice.

Last report I got, Bug made it safely to Detroit, and now it’s non-stop to Rome! Looking forward to hearing a report. PM, she’s with a group out of KO and I think it’s a week, but not sure.

MsRamona, your comment must have been waiting moderation, because I know I would have seen it earlier. Good luck with it! I’ll be praying for you! We DID miss you at the picnic, but I’m sure y’all had fun!

Tank, I missed wishing the reds a Happy Birthday today. I hope they had a great one!

I’m going to go to bed shortly. Just trying to catch up a bit.

  27. Barb says:

    Prayers for you, Ms. Ramona.
PM, tramadol is the pain med I was on that was no longer working for me.
Went to bed early this evening and got up about 9:30. It is now 1:07 am. About to go to bed again. I worked 7 days straight and am absolutely worn out!!
Have a good night. Prayers for all.
