    Mornin.

Wish I could have a few more hours sleep. But, alas…must get my hiney in gear.

  2. parrotmom says:

6:58 I am with you Coop. I woke up with a headache and a feeling of wanting to go back to sleep. Oh well, on the way home I stopped by Shipley donuts and bought 2 chocolate covered just for me. Now can’t wait for my diet Dr. Pepper to go with them. Time now for my kittie girls and my Parrot.

Good morning to everyone and have a Happy Hump Day!!!!!

Oksy it’s officially lunch time and I haven’t eaten since I woke up late after not sleeping from about 2:30 until 5 a.m. I could sure spike my sugar levels with a chocolate covered shipley donut! Good thing they aren’t in this town. :)

  3. OldBopper says:

Mawnin’ y’all. Borrowed a pressure washer and will be using it to clean walks and the patio today. PQ is re-upholstering the dining room chairs. Need to go get an electric staple gun for her.

Hope this finds Barb’s back doing better and both Pd and MrTank doing well.

  4. dhcoop says:

I’m having Smith county watermelon for breakfast! YUM!

  5. parrotmom says:

the 2 SHIPLEY’s chocolate covered donuts were goodb but I think a half dozen would have been better :)

  6. Mrs. H says:

I changed browsers and need to re-input all my info. I can never remember which e-mail to use. If this isn’t awaiting moderation when I hit [post comment] I know I did it right.

I rode the Fizzer in to work today. I feel much better than I did yesterday, so I felt like it was safe to ride.

My 2 traveling girls are coming home this evening and my eldest was contacted by the bank she has worked at for the past several summers about going full time. I think that will work with her working on her master’s for teaching.

  7. msblondie says:

    everyone have a great day!

  8. blues4you says:

    Good day all.

Glad to hear mr.tank did well in surgery.

It’s ALWAYS great to hear of a full time job offer, Mrs.H.

Coop, watermelon is one of my favorite breakfast foods too.

As the cajuns say, y’all pass a good day.

  9. Molly says:

Mornin. Been busy at the office and at home. Well, outside the office, anyway. Doesn’t feel like I’ve been “home” much. Kiddo always has something going. She’s heading to Louisiana tomorrow for a few days with a friend. When she gets back, she’s going to start working part time at my office doing some scanning of documents and other office grunt work. She’s begging me to take her to Alabama Adventure on July 23 to play all day and then attend a concert at the park by a group called “Never Shout Never.” I had never heard of them, but she played one of their songs for me and I liked it. She may have to use her new job money to fund the trip if we go.

  10. dhcoop says:

Y’all say a prayer for my Bug. She’s supposed to be in Athens tomorrow and flying out Friday afternoon.

  11. Airwolf says:

Morning! I’ve got Bear with me today. He’s keeping me occupied.

  12. cardinallady says:

Flying through. I’m going to be in the pea patch this afternoon writing a story. I hope these folks I’m going to do the story on will bestow me with peas just like the others did the blueberries and peaches. I hope they have some ripe tomatoes too.

  13. The Real JB says:

Hey all…just doing a blanket prayer for you all.

    Have a good one.

  14. Barb says:

    Prayers for your Bug, Coop.

  15. parrotmom says:

Molly great job for kiddo to start.

hi JB thanks for the blanket! PD is very agitated that he has not seen a doctor since early Sunday morning. Why after almost 3 weeks do they not have his coumadin at a satisfactory level? It would help if the doctor would just talk to him.

  16. Mrs. H says:

Eldest will be working at the bank branch inside Walmart. 3 days a week of 12 hour days: one month she’ll have MTuW, the next month ThFS. The transition from one month to the next has the ThFS team work the following MTuW, so that there is a day off between the 2 shifts. The other team has a full week off. So every other month, she’ll have a week off! And they are going to train her as a CSR and loan officer. So right at first she’ll use her Walmart days off to go to the main office and receive training (Overtime!!!) She seems very happy. When she starts taking on-line classes, she can use those off days for school.

  17. GrammarGirl says:

Just got back from visiting a friend whose Mom is not going to recover from some medical issues–just a matter of time. My friend with cancer is out of chemo drugs to try. My 4-year-old friend’s brain cancer is growing again. Down to the last option for his treatment. Listening to Trace Adkins sing “Just Fishin'” and thinking about the fragility of life. When folks ask me why I choose to spend so much time at the softball fields, my answer from now on–Because I can! These moments aren’t going to last forever.

    • Mrs. H says:

It’s so easy to take life for granted. . . all the little things we enjoy and do without thinking or being thankful.

      Thanks for the reminder. {{GrammarGirl}}

  18. Legal Eagle says:

    Thank you, JB!

MrsH, it’s great that your eldest has a job at the bank while she’s working on her master’s. Just tell her not to get too attached to banking because it’s one of the lowest paying jobs there is. My mother was a banker and she always told me not to go to work for a bank and what did I do? Of course, my first two jobs were with banks. But then I went wrong and went to work for lawyers. I probably would have done better to stick with the bank. Hindsight is wonderful.

  19. pncpnthr says:

Evening. Just got home from a visit with “Half-Pint” as my hubby calls the newest addition to our family. She is so precious, but then, they all are at 5 weeks of age. I’m thankful they live on the road I drive to work on everyday. I don’t want to miss a thing of her growing up. Time goes by too fast!

Love & hugs to all. I’m alone again tonight. Just me & the critters. And they are hungry, I guess…

  20. dhcoop says:

    Evenin!

I got to hear my Bug’s voice today! She called Baby Girl on Skype (first time she’s had wifi access) and they are being kept in the hotel. Didn’t get to go to “Greek night”. May be delayed a day or two getting home. She’s NOT happy about that because she is SO ready for her own bed! She has had a great time, but this mess in Athens has thrown a kink in the works. She told me she’s been picking up rocks for me!! Picked me up some lava in Pompeii! She knows how much her Grandy loves rocks.

I hope to see Poppy (aka Half Pint) some time over the weekend. I’m sure I’ll be making a trek up to KO at some point, but I’ve also been enlisted to Ghost-sit. My friends on the lake are taking a vacation and have asked me to check in on the Ghost kittie. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen him, but I’m sure he’ll remember me and bite my ankles.

Now to see what’s on tv.

  21. Clucky says:

Checkin in, catching up. Granny not only is still in the hospital but also had a heart cath today. Looked much better than expected; hope to pull off about 4-6 Liters of fluid in 3 days then send her home. By then, she should be breathing much better. Keep my Unspoken Prayer Request in mind, especially tomorrow morning. Thanks.
I’ve missed y’all this week. I am in the bed in my jammies, and hope I am asleep by 9.

  22. parrotmom says:

PD is fit to be tied. The Doctor must be afraid to come in the room, I hope PD can refrain himself if he ever shows his face. If PD’s inr level was still low then why was his meds not increased? I even talked with the case worker today and we have not been told anything about going home since last Thusday. WHY???

  23. parrotmom says:

prayers for Clucky’s friend and Granny. also for all the friends and family that GG mentioned. we need to all remember that life is shorter than you think.

Coop, I hope your Bug stays safe snd makes it home soon and safely. I wondered about your lake house friends the other day. Hopefully Ghost will be kinder to your heels.

  24. parrotmom says:

LegalE, I have always heard the saying, “Be careful of jumping out of the frying pan into the fire. I gave the banking world 3 years before moving on. It was good experience for the time being.

  25. parrotmom says:

I hope CLady received some peas and other fresh veges today.

  26. parrotmom says:

    nite lite is on!!
