    Mornin

    Just heard a security guard was killed this morning in an attempted robbery at the gas station right around the corner from my office. That’s hitting a little too close to home.

    Good morning!

    That’s awful news Coop. Councilman Stokes wants all of them to have security guards. Problem is they are not properly trained to handle situations and use fire arms.

    Headed to the cardioligist this morning for a check up. Don’t expect any problems other than finding a parking place.

    Hope Barbara has a good time on her vacation.

    *mumble mumble* I’m here. woke up too early, 4:30 A.M!. But since I couldn’t sleep, I went ahead and got out of bed ten minutes later and decided to start my day. A pretty day is in the making. We had rain last night.

    Still praying for clucky and for my dear nephew who spent one of the many nights he will spend in jail over the next six months. Please pray for our family, especially mom and dad. It’s killing them. But God is sufficient, HE sees the bigger picture that we can’t.

    On a brighter note, CardinalSon starts pouring concrete today on his first day of apprenticeship as a carpenter.

    There is a very nicely framed portrait (that is supposed to be of Someone) being passed stealthily from office to office here at the church. I think they are afraid to say that they don’t want this Someone in their office, but it is a rather dated portrait that almost certainly looks NOTHING like the Someone it is supposed to portray. Latest location: hanging inside the door frame of Dr. T’s office.

    Afternoon. The cardiologist said I was about as close to perfect as a fella can get who is my age, semi-ugly, and has heart disease. No significant problems noted. Had bloodwork done for cholesterol and glucose along with the normal EKG. Got to go back this time next year.

    Found out something at lunch. Picadilly’s gives those with armed forces ID cards a 10% discount. That’s where PQ and I had lunch today.

    PM, sorry you had a bad day. Mine was pretty darn good. It’s great to be feeling so much better. I’m not there yet, but I’m definitely on the mend, thank goodness.

    I hope Barb is enjoying her trip. Maybe she’ll get to check in at some point.

    I’ve been at the polls since 6:15 a.m. and just got home, early in fact, in spite of the paper ballots. At our prescinct we had 408 votes for resort status and 228 against. I hope the other prescincts voted along those lines although I could not utter one word about the way I felt until right here, right now. I wish we had resort status right now. I could use one of those adult beverages in the neighborhood.

    was a rough afternoon for me. a ton of issues.. got all but 1 settled.. I am hoping against hope it is done while i am gone tomorrow.

    tomorrow i am traveling up to DSU with M for her college day. gonna be a long day but we will have fun. taking her little jellybean car .. heehe
