    Mornin!

Glad it’s Friday. Have a great day!

  3. Mrs. H says:

For the first time in a long time, I will have my Friday to myself. :)
The eldest is off on Thu-Fri-Sat for the month of August (she works from 8-8 on Mon-Tues-Wed), but she went to Starkville with her boyfriend to deliver stuff to his sister. They’ll be back Saturday.

Em & El are going to the movies with friends and then spending the night, so Mr. H and I have an unexpected evening to ourselves. It’s a good day!

  4. OldBopper says:

Mawnin’ y’all! PQ and I will head out in a while to look at more wood flooring and carpet. I thought I had the wood selected until I started reading comments on the internet. When something is 90% negative, I shy away from it.

Coop, glad to hear the good news about your Dad. Wishing you all a good weekend.

  5. OldBopper says:

MrsH, hope y’all enjoy your free evening.

  6. msblondie says:

Good morning MRBA! I finished reading “Kings of Tort” this morning.

  8. Airwolf says:

Morning friends. I been enjoying 70’s temps this morning. It’s fading now, going back to 100 or more.

  9. Airwolf says:

    I’ve been :)

  10. Legal Eagle says:

I started reading “The Fall of the House of Zeus” and I can already tell that this book goes further back into the Jim Eastland days and the Judge Harold Cox regime. How well I remember Judge Harold Cox. Attorneys in his courtroom couldn’t put their briefcases on the table or risk a fine and they looked like monkeys straining to rifle through their briefcases, which were on the floor. Attorneys walking down Capitol Street smoking would see Judge Cox coming and through their cigarettes down. And I remember what he told the black civil rights lawyer from Chicago, I believe, who was leaning on the wall of his courtroom during a civil rights trial.

    through – oops = throw

Good bodock friday morning everybody! Our festival is in full swing. The vendors are all down main street. It’s going to be an AWESOME festival.

  13. parrotmom says:

Lunch time. Tell me all the good things you folks had today for lunch. I will be having a Frosty or milk shake from Sonic.

Half a day to go. I will work this weekend so I can have Monday off to myself (and PD). Sounds stupid but Yay me!!!!

    • Airwolf says:

Rotell chicken, corn casserole, greembeans and blackberry cobbler with unsweet tea!! I took my bride to lunch at Lily’s Cafe.

Looks like another storm in incoming! Lineman didn’t get home except to get dry clothes last night. He managed to swim a creek while repairing power lines.

  14. dhcoop says:

    Squash and peas!

  15. Pncpnthr says:

I had a hamburger that looked like dog food, thought of JB, couldn’t eat it. So glad it’s Friday!

  16. msblondie says:

  17. cardinallady says:

  18. Barb says:

My sis and I went to Zaxby’s because I had to go to Target to shop for my niece’s baby shower which I will not be able to attend!! (Apologies to GrammarGirl for that run-on sentences!)
    Back to work tomorrow!!

  19. dhcoop says:

    Raining in Jtown!

  20. OldBopper says:

Hmmmm, had a salami sandwich with lettuce and ‘mater and the first Coke I’ve had in over a week. Supper will be the big meal today.

More looking at wooden floors and carpet. Goodness, I’m about to get confused and need to quick looking and buy something! Probably will early next week. Still have to cut a deal on installation. That will determine where and exactly what we buy. But it’s gonna be purty when we finish.

  21. Legal Eagle says:

OB, you need to call me so you can get an estimate from the professionalss.

We had some lemon poppy seed muffins late in the morning. I fried pork chops last night and we have some left over. I took a box of scalloped potato mix and added cheese soup instead of milk and I’m heating up fresh baby lima beans and corn bread. The potatoes are strictly an experiment, so I hope they are good with my improvosation.

  22. Molly says:

Hey. Whatever concoctions they put in my injections in the ER last night sure knocked me out. I was up for maybe 30 minutes at one point last night to eat and check in here, then I went back to bed and got up at 1 this afternoon. And that was only cause Kiddo was bugging me to death. I’ll be headed back to bed again soon.

  23. parrotmom says:

we had a tad bit of rain at the house before I made it home from work. It thundered really good after getting home but I don’t think we had anymore rain if any would have just been a sprinkle.

  24. parrotmom says:

Wow Molly sounds like you needed some much needed rest.

  25. Molly says:

It was some strong drugs they injected in me, PM. I couldn’t have woken up if I wanted to. Within a couple of minutes after the shots, I was dizzy and just a few minutes later, I couldn’t hold my head up. They had to take me to the car in a wheel chair. I really thought it would wear off by morning, but I was out. I did manage to wake up long enough to call in to work. I had the phone in my hand to call once but fell asleep before I could dial. Woke up 1/2 hour later and made the call.

  26. pncpnthr says:

    Molly, hope you’re better soon.

Just had a quick visit with Mom & Dad. It’s so strange to see him without glasses. He’s loving it! He’s worn them since he was in the 6th grade so I guess that would be about 65 years or so. He’s happy!

Hope everyone has a good weekend!

  27. dhcoop says:

    Evenin!

Molly, that was some potent stuff!

It just sprinkled a little in Jtown. Saw lots of scattered storms around town as I was leaving, but didn’t go through anything.

  28. pncpnthr says:

Coop, if you can see it this is the link to the local paper article about the Greece trip:

  29. dhcoop says:

I’ve just spent 2 hours trying to get my phone to update. First time I’ve been unhappy with my phone. Still not finished.

Pnc, I’m looking forward to looking at the link. Just can’t right now.

  30. parrotmom says:

Nite all, Have a happy weekend :)

  31. Barb says:

Gonna’ call it a night soon! Just have to hang up all the clothes I washed. Then, off to bed I go! After 14 days off I am going to be useless. Good thing it’s a Saturdate, so I’m really not supposed to do anything but stand by the table and demo the products. That gets old quickly, so I usually start doing other things in my department. Besides…I have to catch up on all the gossip, don’t I?

  32. dhcoop says:

grrrrr. Going to bed. Not happy with my phone upgrading. But, it could be, POSSIBLY, that I’m in rural Podunk, MS. Signal is NOT great here, I don’t care what service you have.
