Morning! Looking forward to some good football today!

PM I’m glad your kitty showed up. My little bobtailed cat BB has decided after 10 years that he wants to sleep on the bed with me. Strange he’s never even been on the bed before.

PM, I’m glad Itty Bitty showed up. I know you’re relieved. AW, since Hoodlum became an outside cat, Braveheart has completely changed personality and has gone from the aloof cat to the lovey dovey one. And we’ve had both for about 10 years.

Yesterday my friend L was telling us about her 100-year-old-mother who has dementia. She said the woman hasn’t strung a complete sentence together in a month or more. L took her mother to the doctor the other day for a checkup. During the exam, her mother looked at the doctor and said, “Doctor, if I get pregnant, do you think I will have any trouble carrying this baby to term?” The doctor flashed L a look, looked back at her mother, and said, “No, ma’am.” I was eating a piece of sweet potato pie at the time she told us and it was all I could do not to spit pie all over the table.

After Bubba died BB’s personality has had a definite change! I suppose Bubba was so dominate that BB’s was suppressed.

      • Legal Eagle says:

Apparently Braveheart was too. Hoodlum took on two different dogs that came into the house while Braveheart slinked into another room. Hoodlum always came in to greet me in the morning and now Braveheart is up close and personal and demanding her loving.

morning gang! enjoying the quite since my house is still not stirring. everyone is worn out from yesterday. My house is now half decorated for Christmas (inside is done) have the outside to go but that might have to wait a couple of days with the rain coming.

that is good news about PD, PM. hope you keep getting more.

think I am going to go wrap some gifts while all is stil asleep.

  5. Legal Eagle says:

In the last couple of weeks, I’ve read “Dead Aim” by Iris Johansen, “The Neighbor” by Lisa Gardner, “Heat Rises” by Richard Castle, and I’m almost finished reading “Cold Vengeance” by Preston & Child. All of them are good. “The Neighbor” is a Detective D.D. Warren adventure and “Heat Rises” is another Jamison Rook and Nickki Heat adventure.

Hello and Happy Thanksgiving (late)! Orville and I have been trying to get rid of the snotty, coughing crud. He started coming down with it Tuesday and then it hit me Wednesday afternoon – no fever, though, thank goodness. We had already planned on hosting about 10 for Thanksgiving lunch, so as P.T. Barnum said, “The show must go on!” or as Bob Fosse in All That Jazz said, “It’s showtime!” We did our best not to infect anyone and had all the windows open (the one time I can say I was glad for a warmer Thanksgiving), but it sure took its toll on us. We weren’t worth anything yesterday. Some better today & going to venture out shortly with all the kids to pick out our Christmas tree. Will let the tree settle in the stand today and then decorate tomorrow. Good football games on this afternoon.

Love, hugs and prayers to PD, PM, Clucky, MF and everyone else!

  7. parrotmom says:

So sorry Cornpop to you and Orville. Glad you had some time to regroup. I hope you both are feeling stonger and better today.

What channel on Comcast is Bama and that other team playing on?

  8. dhcoop says:

    Afternoon!!

I’m being completely worthless. Well, not COMPLETELY worthless, but pretty much… Doing some laundry, etc.

Nothing wrong with being a couch potato on Thanksgiving, right??

  9. Ann Onimous says:

10-0 Wildcats, 4th quarter! Go, Cats!

    (Sorry, Boss…)

  10. Ann Onimous says:

Oh, and I’m being completely worthless too: but not by choice. Apparently, I have some kind of heel injury, and it’s painful to walk. So I have it propped up. I’m typing on my iPod, playing games, and watching football. I’d much rather be out walking in the rain. Sigh.

  11. Ann Onimous says:

Now we need two more wins. Go, State: Roll Tide!

  12. bella sera says:

I just saw radar—-yuck. I may take hwy 80 over to Pearl to keep from having to deal with those concrete barriers on I-20

  13. parrotmom says:

I’ve been awake since 2 will see if I can manage through the these 2 gsmes.

  14. msblondie says:

Alabama game was good. Now lets go STATE! .. looking good in the rain.

  15. parrotmom says:

Evening just turned the tv on yea dawgs!!! I wished there would have been a little more play out of the rebs to make it interesting, oh Well!!!!

Raining good here for now and heard some thunder so glad to be home and not driving.

  16. OldBopper says:

Got to hand it to Ole Miss. They don’t discriminate. They look equally bad in all the SEC games.

  17. Mrs. H says:

    HAIL STATE!!!

Sorry I’ve been out of touch this weekend. Mr. H hadn’t left the house since we got home from choir practice Monday night, so we went to see Puss & Boots. I can’t say that I’m a fan, but I suppose it was okay. Yesterday, his mom called to say that she had a flat. She had been that morning to get the oil changed and tires rotated. After she got home, she looked out in the carport and one tire was completely flat. Mr. H was in the middle of a welding project, so El and I went to Ocean Springs to the rescue. She was surprised at just the 2 of us, but we jacked it up, took the flat off and took it back to the place. They fixed the valve stem they had loosened and we took the tire back to her carport. I put the tire back on and drove back to Agricola. My eldest is no longer the only knight in shining armor in the family :)

Morning everyone, Sunday at 8:05 am. My feet are cold, should have socks and shoes on, will shortly. It didn’t help that I played in standing raining water on my courtyard last night trying to sweep heavy wet leaves away from the cage around the sump pump.
PD’s son says he is heading back to the coast this afternoon and even though he has some issues. So far is dealing witht them very well and will start another chapter in coping later this week. May he look to God for the answers and not back track. Not all things worth while are the easiest to achieve especially when you have the devil on your back.
