Good morning! Storm passed through, loud and lots of water.
Mornin!
Sun shining and warm here in Grown.
Did you see my response from last night?
Mornin’.
Thought I might be finished this weekend but that is not the case. It’s all good though, I need every day I can get on the time sheet.
Oysters on the half shell on the menu for tonight’s dinner. (Camile’s Restaraunt in Emeryville, La.)
Shut your mouth!!! (Whining with mouth watering….)
Blues, sure would like to have supper with you.
Slept late this morning. PQ, daughter Em, and future MIL are on a wedding cake tasting adventure. I’m waiting on the folks to come pick up the old Honda that belonged to our oldest daughter J.
Looking for motorcycle tires for Boule. Will take recommendations. From what I can find, Pirelli seems to get the best overall reviews and that’s after checking them out on multiple sites.
People tend to be glad to get rid of Dunlap OEM tires. Metzler appears to be great if you can get the German made ones. The Brazil made Metzlers are not holding up…weak sidewalls, poor tread life, etc.
I think the tires on Boule now are original IRC’s. Front tire still looks good while the rear is showing significant wear. I have about 9,500 miles on the odometer at present.
I’ll probably replace both tires at the same time.
Only some light sprinkles here so far today but cloudy and windy. Hope everybody has a great day. Oh yes, today is National Hug Day so ((((((MRBA))))))! Smiles too!
I just finished Stephen King’s “Just After Sunset,” which is a collection of short stories. I believe the last story in the book especially will be a mental image for a while.
Coop brought up a good point last night. It’s time to start planning this year’s outdoor extravaganza. Do y’all want to do it in June like we’ve done the last 3 years, or do you want to do it in the spring when it might be cooler? And the final say goes to Marshall, who will need to be there, or it will be pointless to get together without our exhaulted (or exhausted) leader.
It’s chilly up here after the front passed. 15 degrees difference in here and Jackson!
I hope everyone has a good day! Blues eat a dozen for me but fry em first. I got some bad ones years ago and cannot bring myself to swallow a raw one!
Afternoon everyone and anyone. Thought I had posted about 7 this morning from home on yesterday’s. Apparently did not hit post?
Oh well had a good nap once back with PD till 12:30. At work since 1:00 not getting to far very fast. Soon heading back to be with PD again. Hope all is well with everyone.
OB, Mr. H orders his from Motorcycle Superstore (online). He mounts them himself, but I’m sure you could have it done if you don’t have the set-up for DIY.
We picked up a sample cake from the lady that is probably going to do our Eldest’s cake. Very pretty sample. We haven’t tasted it yet because she won’t get off work until 8 tonight and we wanted her to see it intact.
Motorcycle Super Store is a great web site with low prices and very fast delivery. I’ve used them several times. Which brand of tire does he recommend?
I understand Em’s wedding cake has been selected and ordered. Guess we are running parallel tracks.
“Evangelical Christians made up two-thirds of the South Carolina electorate on Saturday, and Gingrich took 44% of their votes, according to CNN’s exit poll.”
If that is true, color me flabbergasted! Support a man who asks women to marry him before he divorces his current wife….not once but twice? Support a man whose first wife had to take him to court to get him to pay alimony so she could pay the utility bill? Support a man who divorced two wives when he learned they had a serious illness? Support a man known for having sexual relations with his campaign staffers? Support a man who had 22 bad checks while Speaker of the House including one to the IRS? Support a man who was found guilty of ethics violations while Speaker of the House and fined $300,000? And this is the man Evangelical Christians want as President of the United States? I am absolutely stunned!
My big tom woke me at 430. (again) wanting to go out. Going back to
Bed…
