    ?? Rain for the afternoon?

Morning everyone at 6:15 am. Yesterday I had several road blocks today I hope for better info and if not I just don’t kow how to feel, but will press on. I was reprimanded by one lawyer that wasn’t even for me but for the hospital and another told me some legal stuff that I did not enjoy hearing about PD’s Will, but he was going to check further. It seems as if it is the deceased wishes and you don’t have to have a professional then why is it that a judge can possibly come in and change it that person’s wishes. We will see what I am told today. Then on my house in the paper work I cannot find the deet of trust. I have 11 pages telling me the definitions of the deed, but nothing telling me “right to survivorship” so if I am lucky I will get something from the mortgager by the end of the month telling me which way the house falls. When we did it we told them how we wanted it, but why is it not in the paperwork? You work you strive and you think you have covered all your bases and then a door slams. I do know that for every door that is slammed, God usually has a new door and a new path. I just need to be mindful and watch.

Prayers to the Pearl Police dept and their families what a sinceless crime.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Hump day. Time to get moving and get the garbage to the street this morning.

Love and hugs to all ((((((((((MRBA)))))))))))))

PM, the deed to your house is filed with the Hinds County Chancery Clerk’s office. It is public record, and you can get a copy if you go down there. There may be a small ($3-$4) fee, but you can get it. That will tell you if it is “right of survivorship.” 99% of the time, that’s the way it is worded when a married couple buy a home.

      • Molly says:

You need the Warranty Deed, not the Deed of Trust, although it may have it there as well. The Warranty Deed will DEFINITELY have it. The mortgage papers (deed of trust) has to follow the wording on the Warranty Deed.

    • Molly says:

I would love to know what the lawyer is telling you the Judge can change regarding PD’s Will. That is not normally done. The Executor is supposed to follow the Will EXACTLY and the lawyer for the Estate and the Judge are to see that it is followed.

You and me both, Molly. It’s a wonder some of them out there practicing were ever able to pass the bar exam.

    Mornin!

PM, good luck with all that. I know it’s tough to deal with those issues at a time like this.

Hoping everyone has a great day!

  3. msblondie says:

Morning! (((PM))) Finally found the strength of drugstore reading glasses I need. Bought the correct ones today and it really makes a difference. Decided I need to get a second pair of sunglasses so I bought those this morning also. My new prescription glasses should be in early next week. I’ll need them for night driving for sure.

This new found sight is giving me options I have never had before….good options. Memo to others. Wear sunglasses! I never thought that was manly until about 5 years ago. All those days I spent life guarding, sailing and at sea without glare protection has done a job on my eyes. Take advice from an old fart….wear sunglasses.

Ditto for ear protection. When running lawnmowers, ghastly leaf blowers and the like, wear ear protection. I was stupid and didn’t. The damage was done while being in charge of range firing in the military and being exposed to that noise for 10 and 12 hours at a time. Since it was only on a temporary assignment basis each year, there’s no official record to allow me to have a claim with the military.

  8. Airwolf says:

Hey folks! I’ve been nursing a sore lower back this morning! I’m taking it easy today!

  9. msblondie says:

there is something wet falling from the sky

  10. Legal Eagle says:

Oooooowwwwwwww! Did I mention that in addition to jamming my toe into a box Monday night that before that I was cooking some garlic bread in the toaster oven and when I took it out, the rack came out, red hot, and landed on my arm? Well, I did. My arm and toe are in misery and I’m wondering how I’m going to get to the car tomorrow to play bridge in Pearl. I had already cancelled today’s game because BE has a VA appointment and needs to take my car instead of driving his truck because people tend to steal stuff off his truck.

  11. parrotmom says:

Nice lightening looking I guess to the west.

  12. Molly says:

Pouring rain at the Rez. I got back in the office seconds before the bottom fell out.

  13. Legal Eagle says:

2:00 p.m. It’s thundering in Pearl, but it hasn’t started raining yet.

  14. dhcoop says:

    3:12 POURING in downtown Jtown

  15. Legal Eagle says:

3:15 p.m. It’s pouring in Pearl now too.

  16. CornPop says:

Orville heard from his doctor a short while ago and we received the news we’ve been waiting to hear at this point in his treatment…the MRI that was done yesterday showed that the MASS IS SHRINKING & responding to the chemotherapy!!!! Thank all of you for your prayers – The Dear Lord has heard you! There’s still a long battle ahead, but we know that God has guided the doctors down the correct path. We wish we could with all of you this weekend, but we’ll be at ‘Hotel UMC’. He checks in Friday morning for the full round of chemo as he continues with the treatment plan. Please keep the prayer chains going as we continue with the treatment plan. ♥

  17. parrotmom says:

That’s great news CornPop. I will continue to lift you both up in my prayers.

    • CornPop says:

Thank you, PM! You remain in my prayers as you struggle to move forward and having to deal with idiots concerning PM’s estate. That’s just so wrong!

      • CornPop says:

OH BOY – I think I made one of the worst typos yet! I’m so sorry ParrotMom – you know that what I meant in my comment above! I’m hanging my head in shame…

        • cardinallady says:

Now dear, I’m sure she and God both know what you meant to say. Don’t worry about it. :)

        • parrotmom says:

I read your comment and had to read it again to know you made a typo. I understood totally.

          • dhcoop says:

Me too. Had to read again to figure out what you meant. If you hadn’t said anything, no one would have noticed!

  18. parrotmom says:

We have a downpour on my side of the world. At least my windows are up today. The seats should be dry this time.

  19. msblondie says:

everyone have a great evening. time to wrap it up around here.

  20. cardinallady says:

One more day done, one more to go! I am getting sooooooo excited. I truly need these days off to relax and not worry about NOTHING! I have to go wash clothes tonight because I have a picture to take tomorrow late and I’m going to rest and kick back and be ready to go south when I take that last picture.

  21. Legal Eagle says:

Finally, my favorite TV night is coming up: Survivor, Criminal Minds and Revenge, and all new, not reruns.

  22. Old Bopper says:

Evening! Great news CornPop. We will continue to pray for more positive results.

Cardinal Lady, if you know about what time you will arrive in Jackson, I’ll plan on meeting you and giving you a personal tour of the Capitol. And, if you haven’t been to the old Capitol lately, it’s really worth a trip. They have renovated it and added some great exhibits.

  23. dhcoop says:

Evenin! I am looking forward to seeing y’all this weekend!
