FIRST!! Haha…it’s 3:24 am, and I’m wide awake, as usual.

Yesterday I spent all day in bed recovering from Me & Vhicklette’s shopping adventure in Forest. Today feels better already. Now I just hope my get up and go doesn’t get up and leave. I realized over the weekend that my tag and sticker expired in April, and my license expired on my birthday, 5/20. Oops! So I have a lot of rat killing to do later this morning in Decatur. We had some confusion about the remodel job next door, so I’ll need to go shopping for ceramic tile to put in and around the shower. Thing 2 finally decided to use his carpentry knowledge and pitched in to help on the bathroom, which has been a huge help. I was also reminded NOT to do business with family. I paid someone ahead on building the cabinet for the vanity, and have not seen hide nor hair of him since. I’m more than a little irritated at him right now.

Leagle, check with your boys and see where they recommend we go for inexpensive tile. I’ve discovered a bathroom remodel is a money pit. I’ve considered a trip to Hattiesburg to Dirt Cheap Building Supplies. They have great stuff at a much lower price than we’ve been able to find around here or in Meridian.

Now that I’m on Long-Term Disability through work, my insurance has to be paid out of pocket like COBRA. At least it is reasonable. At the beginning of next year, I’ll be on Mr. Fab’s insurance; right now I’m reluctant to change because of my having met all deductibles for this year.

Is anyone familiar with Allsup, the company that handles applications for permanent SS disability? I’m considering using them because they take care of EVERYTHING. Email me at cluckyrn at gmail dot com. As scatterbrained as I’ve become (which I now know is called “Fibro Fog,” it would never get done the right way.

I hope everyone (including Banjo, bless his heart), is doing well. I’ll go back and catch up shortly. Love y’all. I hope all of us have a good day :)

Good morning everyone. Thanks Clucky for the info.

Good luck with you you are having to do and get done. Wished I had some answers for you. Yes remodeling a bathroom is heck. Of couse yours had to be reworked from the underneath flooring and up. Ours was all ceramic tile including the shower. It was finally finshed after 18 or 19 months and we paid someone to finish it. Grouting is easy on the flloor but not on walls. Prayers to you all.

    Mornin!

Clucky, I wish I could be of help, but I know nothing of Allsup OR tile sources. Good luck, dear!

It’s really muggly outside already this morning. Gonna be a hot one.

Hope everybody has a great day!

    Good morning.

Near drought conditions in NE, Tx according to the local weatherman. I believe ‘im.

Seems like everybody I know has some sort of re-modeling job going on, Clucks. I’ll ask a couple of them where they’re buying materials from. If someone is bragging on bargain tile I’ll let you know.

Likewise, Clucky, I’m like Sgt Schultz about the insurance: I know nazink!
We helped get young Mr. & Mrs. K settled in yesterday. All his grandparent’s dishes, nicknacks and pictures are up in the attic until they return next winter. It’s starting to look like home to the 2 of them. As we were leaving yesterday afternoon, Mr. K was unloading his fish (tropical) in buckets to set up his new aquarium. (That’s what happens when your daughter marries a marine biologist!)

    Off to work now.

Good morning folks. Slept in till 7:30 this morning. Need to get out and do some yard work, and wash my car, and clean the house, and….. I’ve been lazy lately spending too much time with Boule. I’ve already turned down a ride to south Louisiana next weekend. I have lot’s of stuff coming in for the motorcycle and want to get it installed.

Glad the “K” family is getting settled in. That’s an exciting time for young couples.

Clucky, I’ve always found Lowes and Home Depot to have good prices on tile. Get on the internet and read up on it. Some tiles are harder than others and thus more expensive. I used to know the ratings, but you can learn quickly on the net.

Guess I had better go and get started on some tasks.

Don’t forget about copying the CD’s. I have some folks in my class who would like to have copies and my friend put a new DVD player in my computer last week.

I hope everyone has a great day!

Lazy Tuesday and gladly nothing planned for the day. I have exactly 12 people to play bridge Thursday and I’m not going to start calling and trying to get 4 more players this week. As far as I’m concerned, we will just play with 3 tables instead of 4.

My boys have over 20 years experience in flooring, including wood floors, ceramic tile, the other stuff and carpet. When I can catch one of them, I will ask about prices.

    Morning has flown by.

    Afternoon. Paper to bed.
Clucky, sister, don’t you let them mess over you and that vanity. It’s too pretty. I wish I lived closer I’d come help you. I thought about you last night because they replayed the Jay Leno with Robert Downey Jr in it.

Alright, I’ve got to get myself out of here. Jon and I are going to do some serious fishing at our lake!

  12. msblondie says:
