Lol Blues!!! I would have been late for the garbage men. I managed to empty freezer and get to the street in time. Now the next question. How to defrost? One is a chest type- would need to get out of laundry room and have corner at least to the outside to pull the drain plug. The other is a small upright. I think it would need to totally go outside. It isn’t totally empty because you cannot get to the veggies since covered in ice.
Also does it hurt to keep a freezer unplugged if not in use?

I don’t envy you there, PM. I have a small chest type freezer w/no plug. I have to dip the water out when I defrost. My back really enjoys this chore. Upright freezer? I don’t know. Never had one. i would imagine that lots of towels would be reqired.

I would think so too, but it is small enough I am going to try and move it outside. I have click wood flooring and would not like a flood in the kitchen. I mean the top and first rack remind me of the first apartment PD and I moved in. Was not the frost free refrigerators. He cleaned the refrigerator part but the freezer was so thick with ice you may get a couple of ice trays in it.

    Goodmorning everyone!

Little freezer is out. Think I will post a pick?

Morning y’all. You won’t find a better June morning out there.

PM, it won’t hurt to store a freezer not in use. I think I would put an opened box of baking soda in it just in case it develops a smell. BTW, if you have an old one with a smell, loosely wad up a bunch of newspaper sheets and put in the freezer while plugged in. It will help absorb the smell.

Mawnin’ folks. The Boss is right. It’s a glorious morning out there. Enjoy the day!

Hello from the Emerald Coast. 81 degrees here! It was a good cool morning to drive!

The little freezer still isn’t totally defrosted. The very top still has a nice sheet of ice.

Speaking of getting up on Saturday…BE’s alarm clock went off at 7:00 a.m. I got up about 45 minutes before he did, but he eventually took a load of stuff to our land and is going to spend the night over there in the camper. I thought about calling to see if I could lure one or two of you out to dinner, but after discovering the cats’ guest bathroom in my closet, I’ve been pulling stuff out of the closet floor and washing and drying all day and then I just happened to fall asleep while reading my book.

    Evenin!

Had a great day today! Nephew and I managed to cut down a bunch of shrubs that were out of control, and do some fine cooking too!

Legal, when I get to a real computer I’ll post recipes for Basil Mayo (that we had on sandwiches at lunch) and. Blueberry crunch we had for desert. We also cooked a big pot of fresh tomato sauce that we are going to have tomorrow.

About to get sleepy. Planning on being back in the yard first thing in the morning.

    Good night!

    06:55am sunday

    Good morning.

Procedures taking place on the rig that I don’t have to be concerned with. Going to be an easy day at work today. I might even get to leave early enough to be a tourist for a few hours this afternoon.

Brought donuts that were still hot from the fryer. Not very healthy but soooo good.

Morning friends! Sitting on the deck drinking coffee and listening to the waves lapping the shore!

AW would love to be in your neck of the beach sounds like an awesome morning. I hope you have your mind at ease and not worring about home. I am sure all is well.

Well what went out yesterday (the freezer) is back in dried it out the best I could, but still have an old sheet under if for any more drips. So not totally in place yet.

Thinking more about sitting on a porch and listening to the waves. I wonder how the parrot would like a long road trip, but would think I would rather wait till the end of the season when not so many tourist are around.

I would like to take a run to Yazoo to check on the property. We (I) haven’t been back since May 2010. I know the grass and thorn trees are probably pretty bad. Easier to cut down when they are saplings. I can’t take the Explorer the tag is expired and I have no plans to renew since the stepson should be getting sometime this month. So I either take the car or the F-150 which drinks a ton of gas especially being an 8 cylinder. We will see what the day holds.
