I just picked the first tomato off one of the plants I grew from seed. It’s an heirloom called Big Rainbow. I’m so excited!

Grocery shopping this morning. Em’s favorite bridesmaid wasn’t able to come down to the eldest’s house tomorrow so I think the reunion has been postponed. Em &El are headed to camp next week anyway so I think washing & packing are in order. Did I mention that I’m NOT going! For the first time in 10 years (except for the summer we lost Mom) I’m not going to youth camp. I could get used to this empty nest thing…

My car is in the yard waiting for parts to fix a wheel. BE has gone to meet the sewer installer and one of the guys is picking me up to go to Brandon for the church bridge game.
I got some of that Almond Joy coffee creamer and I guess I was too excited about trying it this morning because in stirring it, I managed to sweep the cup into the floor and on it’s way down, it threw hot coffee all over my body and the big toe that is already broken. I grabbed an egg (thank you, Cardinallady) and rubbed the white on my toe, picked up the broken cup pieces and fixed another cup. As Rachel Ray would say, “Yummo!”
I looked at the forecasted temps next week and decided I had better mow today while it is a “cool” 92!
Afternoon, got a batch of chocolate chip cookies in the oven. Kitchen smells good.
El made a batch earlier this week. Mmmmm…..
everyone have a great evening. it getting time to get out of here. tonight we take M out for her birthday since we didn’t go last night.
Em is mowing one of the yards (we have 2 lots and we cut Mr. H’s mom’s, too) They want to go see “Brave” tomorrow. I think Mr. H wants to see it even more than the girls. And they really want to go. They seem to take this Disney princess personally. I think it has something to do with the hair……

Anxiously awaiting to hear if Big Sis is going to make it to Atlanta to make her connection to get in tonight. They are having bad weather at JFK and she’s sitting in the plane awaiting takeoff. Crossing fingers!
Sam on Good Morning America said there was a storm coming through New York City. I hope she’s on her way home by now.
Praying that Big Sis makes her connection. I know all of them are so excited.
