Good morning! Went to Church and now home. We have three priests and, in an unusual happening, none could make it to early church so we had Morning Prayer without a sermon. 20 years ago we did Morning Prayer three Sundays and Communion one Sunday. Now we do Communion for all Sunday services.

Put some baffles in the new exhaust on the motorcycle. It should calm the noise a bit. I knew it was going to be necessary when I bought the pipes and bought the baffles at the same time.

Hope everybody has a great Sunday. Forecast for the week, rain, rain, rain. Beats a hurricane.

pncpnthr, I’m sorry you had a shellfish reaction because I know you love(d) crab legs. Our chef friend is allergic to shellfish. He can cook them all day and night, but can’t eat them.

It’s thundering here and looking at the radar, it looks like scattered showers all around here.

Parrotmom, the prices at Moss Creek were in line with other similar establishments. My fried shrimp was $10.99. The grilled version is $11.99. The 2-whole fish dinner is $9.99 and the all you can eat fish fillets is marked $14.99 on the menu (which is way high), but the waitress said it’s $13.99, still too high not to have whole fish on the all you can eat. What gets me about all these restaurants these days is the outrageous cost of iced tea. What takes pennies to make, is priced over $2.00 and sometimes $2.50 per glass and at a lot of these places, you can never get anyone’s attention to even get a refill. Our total for lunch yesterday was $27.00 and the price of the tea had to be what kicked it up so high. BE got a tea refill, but I never did even though we went through 4 wait staff.

LegalE that is why I just get the water. It isn’t the worth the price for the tea or fountain drink.

Afternoon everyone. I thought I would empty the tools fromt he vehicle the stepson is to get, but I time it that everytime I went outside it was raining or drizzling then when the suns out it is too warm. Maybe later. The toolbox each drawer will have to be emptied before I can move it. I don’t think a real “he man” would do it either if he thinks about it first. Oh well. I know if I wait for stepson it will just be thrown in a room and I would have to reorganize everything then.

OB glad you have Boule back and enjoy your new additions.

AW I already had ice cream once today so now maybe I’ll have to have seconds shortly?

    Hey errybody.

Coming to you LIVE from Avoyelles Parish, La. Got here thursday afternoon. Been really busy.

Sorry to hear of your reaction pnc. It’s bewildering to me how allergies develope over a short period of time.

    Hope Banjo is improving.

Has rained every day since I have arrived. Things are pretty darn soggy.

    Y’all have a good afternoon.

Awoke with a migraine. It’s easing some now-at least I don’t get nauseated from light. Still keeping it quiet…which is a shame because I wanted to surprise T with a date tonight to go see Savages. He loves Quentin Tarantino films.

CLady, I answered your question about the plant on Friday’s FFA.

I got the insurance check to get my car fixed. The good news is I think I can get the paint/body done for less than their estimate, so hopefully I can get her exhaust work done too. Apparently I’ve bottomed out and tore up her catalytic converter :/

Had a one-man air show this afternoon by a crop sprayer. Between a big ol’ drilling rig sticking up in his soybean/rice field and the power lines crossing them, that was on busy aviator.

  7. parrotmom says:

So glad you had some entertainment Blues. Sorry for the soggy weather. It is that way here too!

  8. Mrs. H says:

Our grass really needs cutting, but it won’t stop raining. Well, actually it didn’t rain Friday, but El&Friends had a beach day planned. Saturday morning, she got all sun-screened up, made it over to the shop where the mower is and it started raining. It rained all day. But we do have the former office doorway covered in sheet rock. Our bedroom renovation is coming right along.

About to go home. Came to the paper to get a little bit of work done. I wasn’t going to stay any longer than a couple of hours three and a half hours ago. But page one is well on its way and the family life page is done. All I’ll have to do tomorrow is write a couple of stories and my column and put the inside pages together. Yall have a good night.

THANKS CLUCKY!!! Will do. kisses to you. Hope your head feels better. Hey, Let me know when you want to clean the curio cabinet and stuff and I’ll come help you so you won’t be in that dust. :) Love you dear.

Blues, hope you got some pics of that air plane.

PNC man! no more shrimp? *sigggh* I think I’d go into withdrawals.

Alright, my editor is back. See yall tomorrow.

There’s no dust, CLady, believe it or not! Another issue next door…we had hooked up the portable AC unit in the living room including the exhaust vent. However, the drain plug was loose, and after almost a week, Thing 1 realized the off white Berber carpet Mama just HAD to have was soaked. They quickly went to work pulling up the carpet and padding, and found beautiful wood floors! Yay! The carpet has not molded, so we will be steam cleaning it and deciding what to do with it. Probably wrapping it well and storing it until we can get some stuff moved around in our house. I’m praying we can pull up our living room carpet and find wood floors, but I’m not betting money on it. There are five or six houses on our street built by the same folks around the mid 1920’s. All have many of the same features such as colored bathroom tub/toilet/lavoratory fixtures. Mom’s was green, ours pale blue, my neighbor’s-yellow, the next, pink. I lucked out in the big kitchen and “big” bathroom.
The headache is finally gone. My head is actually sore now. I hate dealing with this mess. I hate it.

PNC Panther, sorry to hear about the shellfish allergy. Been riding much of the afternoon and some tonight. I asked the mechanic to check something on the front end while Boule was in the shop. So far I have had to completely adjust the quick release on the windshield and now my low beam lights are set where I had the high beams before. My high beams shine up to the sky. Guess I’ll be readjusting the focus.

The baffles made the exhaust much better. I can make that boy growl when I want and not make a lot of noise when I don’t want to be noticed. Think I’m going to like the new exhaust now.

I agree with y’all. Coffee, tea and soft drinks are waaaay too expensive. We drink water most of the time. McDonalds has a $1 any size drink and Rally’s offers a $1 soft drink.

AW, haven’t heard much about your Dad lately. I guess things are about the same. Still want you to go with me for a Trace ride in the fall all the way up to Nashville.

1:45 It’s a good thing I don’t have to be anywhere in the morning. Good night!
