Morning, all. Hubby just left for a Florida job, not sure when he will get back. I’ve got a crochet project for a baby due in September & I thought I had plenty of time BUT the shower will be before Sept. So, I’ve got to get busy. It’s a pattern I’ve not used before & I’ve already had to take out some stitches. Ugh!

Hope everyone has a good Monday.

Pnc, I finished an Icelandic shawl yesterday afternoon. I posted pictures on my blog. It’s not perfect, but I’ll definitely use the pattern again.

Our Music Minister’s wife is putting on an art camp this week at church. Teaching the Gospel through the 4 basic art . . . somethings? Anyway, it should be interesting. It’s open to any kid going into grades 3-6. El is going to be helping out. (She won’t admit it, but she misses Em!) And Em will be home sometime Thursday, just in time for band camp. She missed percussion camp this week. (She could go Friday, if I can wake her up after 2 weeks of 4 hours sleep) Normally missing this week wouldn’t matter: she’s been pit captain and they just do music – no marching. However, she decided to try the drumline this year AND we have a new band director. (The Famous Maroon Band doesn’t have a pit and she has aspirations!)

I’m awake! (still-no sleep last night :( Sigh)

Good Momday morning. Yes, I slept in today. i took a day off. When PD was sick I would fall asleep no sooner than my head hit the pillow and awake before 5:00 am, but now I am awake till midnight or later I wake up early but not rested. Hope you all have a good day!

    Mornin!

I can’t follow a pattern to crochet. I can only go in circles. :)

Hope everyone has a great day!

Morning! Slept in till 8. Our bedroom is so quiet that sleep is easy. I’m very thankful for that. In Southaven we lived on a main thoroughfare and it was awful.

Headed to Vicksburg for lunch with my Sister. Taking her some veggies from FIL’s garden.

Hope everyone has a good day. Blues, you can cancel the rain whenever you like. It all seems to come from your area.

    morning gang!

PNC dont feel bad about your project. I thought I still at least another week or 2 to finish a baby blanket I am making for my cousin’s baby.. well she came over the weekend so I gotta get it finished and mailed this week. I worked on it last night.. Think all that is left now though is putting the edging on it.
In 3 months have done 3 blankets.. not too bad.

Wow! Averaging one a month is something! I like baby blankets because they work up fast but this is a new pattern to me so it will take a bit longer. I just hope I can finish before the little one makes his arrival!

Morning. Yall are wearing me out with your crocheting projects. MsBlondie! A blanket a month is an accomplishment!

We have fair week around here this week, so there will be a lot of mooing and baaaaing going on. I am going to get to judge some of the 4-H stuff in the morning. I’m excited! Even though I have had to work like the dickens to get to do it. On top of that, the lady who puts the pages together won’t be here today or tomorrow because rain delayed her flight north, so I must do that too. It’s going to be an interesting day.

May God bless you all as you live this day. Thank Him for one more day on this earth. The Psalmist said God remembers that we are … A breath that passes away and does not come again … life is short.

  9. Ann Onimous says:

    Don’t look at me. I can’t sew worth a darn. :)

  10. Airwolf says:

Afternoon! Finished the mowing at the farm!

OB you asked about Daddy, he’s doing well. He can’t walk and Mom can’t manage him at home. It’s not what they had planned in their twilight years.

I’m currently without a bike OB but I’m looking. Prices will drop around the end of September.

  11. Legal Eagle says:

Heh, heh, all that sewing reminds me of when I went off to Southern to major in home economics. I had a clothing and textiles lab from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. twice a week and it was all I could do to get there. Dr. Golden gave us an exam to see how much we knew about sewing. There was a question about what percent of our clothes we made and I put 0%, but I made the highest score on the test so she thought she had a little genius. By the time I finished my shirt waist dress with buttons and a zipper, everything else had made a coat, so Dr. Golden realized her little genius sounded good on paper, but that’s about all.

  12. parrotmom says:

Lol at LegalE. I can sew and have crocheted a few afghans and scarfs. I cannot make heads or tails on how to read directions for crocheting. I haven’t made an outfit in 20 plus years.

Vehicle is empty and ready to go when I get the legal word to pass it on. Yea!! Lucky for me my neighbor was home and outside so he moved the toolbox with tools included with no troubles. I would have had to empty it then reads. What a lifesaver.

  13. Msblondie says:

I got the blanket finished. And ready to mail tomorrow. I will have to post pictures of the 3 I did. I think I might use the left over yarns to do some baby hats for umc. Knitting and crocheting is relaxing.

    Everyone have a good night.

  14. Mrs. H says:

MsBlondie, I couldn’t agree more. After I finished my shawl, my fingers started itching for what comes next.

    Tuesday 6:33 a.m.

The new band director called me yesterday to check on Em. I told him that she was at a camp that she had been wanting to get on with for several years, but as soon as she got home, she’d be there. (percussion camp is this week) He seemed okay with that, just wanted to know that there wouldn’t be a hole in the bass drum line.
