Good morning. Somebody needs to turn down the thermostat a few degrees. I see where another experienced reporter has “left” the Clarion-Ledger. I just hope his new job is better than his old one.
Hey folks.
It’s a sauna here.
Mornin!
Yep, already toasty.
Hope everyone has a great day!
Morning!
81 degrees at 8 am. It’s going to be a scorcher!
Flitting through. Fair’s up. Red bird has got to get her tailfeathers busy! Yall have a nice sultry southern day now, ya hear?
Morning.
morning gang!
everyone have a good day!
Good morning! Back in the weekly routine today. Glad I managed to get a couple of outdoor stuff done with the heat. Just took my time and took breaks since not used to the heat.
I hit my first deer last night, lucky for me no damage to the car in fact other than a knock at the edge of the passenger side I thought shease it. Unfortunately she didn’t. I man stopped and checked on me and my car and said the deer went down. Someone had fresh deer meat last night. Still makes me sad, but thankful.
You are very lucky, PM. Hitting a deer usually does 1500-3500 dollars worth of damage.
It did for us!
It was pretty warm this morning for our walk. I’ve noticed that the nights are hanging on a bit longer into the morning. We can see a few stars when we start out. Venus and Jupiter are impossible to miss in the east.
WAKE UP OUT THERE!!!!!!
just kidding
I just watched a video of our youth minister waking up someone with a leaf blower!
He wouldn’t be pleased with the outcome if he did that to me!
I don’t like those things even when I’m awake.
Wide awake just snowed under with work. Nothing like going the extra mile to get one self current before taking off only to come back to the same old problem of others not doing what they were supposed to do. I see another weekend in my future :(

Hello, MRBA! I tuned in this morning and then forgot to say anything. Must be that darn CRS again!
Evening everyone. New neighbors moving in across the street.
We were starving a while ago and ended up at Jerry’s Catfish House for some all-you-can-eat whole catfish. We got there a few minutes until 5:00 and for the first time we were the first ones in line, but not but for a minute. I’m not starving now and may not be for days. We stopped back by Wright’s Produce and picked up a basket of tomatoes and a basket of peaches and a watermelon.
Barb, I started to stop to see if you were at work, but coming back by around 6:15 p.m., I figured you were probably off by then. It started sprinkling on us and as soon as we left Wright’s we got into monsoon rain and almost couldn’t see the road. When we got home, we saw it hadn’t rained in Pearl.
Rain, wow, didn’t have a clue it rained anywhere today.
Raining here. I just went out and set all my ferns under the edge of the roof to catch the run off.
Evenin!
I have been enjoying an evening with Friend and G tonight. I’ve missed seeing them lately.
Now chilling with my crochet.
Whoa. Is Barb at the one where you can turn behind it (on 80) and go to McD’s?
I slept so good last night. Hope I can do it again tonight.
I still haven’t finished my quilt for Quilts4Kids. I need to get on it.
Not sure if I should share or not, but…
My last dr. note said “can not work.” I got a certified letter from employer requiring “clarification.” Doc will have it ready by Thursday…it’s the one that will permanently end my employment of 8+ years here, and almost twenty years of nursing. This wasn’t what I had in mind all those years ago when I said I wanted to retire early :/
Mrs H, I thought you would get a kick out of this. I happened to see on fb that a friend was selling his 6-string banjo for a steal. (http://www.musiciansfriend.com/folk-traditional-instruments/rogue-6-string-banjo) Looks like new, fresh strings, etc. got it for the boys as part of bday, but was too excited to wait. Thing 2 came & got it, and half an hour later, I walk next door and they are playing Dueling Banjos. Y’all, it don’t get no better than that.
(Ned Beatty was not injured in the playing of that tune, nor was pig squealing required.)
Clucky, I saw the picture on FB earlier. Thanks for the back-story about the birthday. Looks like they were enjoying it.
I’m up cooking this morning instead of walking. Funeral meal for a 23 year old. I don’t know the story and am not sure I want to know since no one is talking about it. His grandparents are from our church. His parents were, too, until they split up a few years ago.
