    The girls are getting ready for band camp. Registration for school is this afternoon. I have a children’s committee meeting tonight. It looks to be a long day. Have fun, campers. . .

    Morning folks! This is my mowing week at the farm. I haven’t decided when I’ll do it. I got in to some poison ivy somewhere and I’ve been miserable. It’ll teach me not to weedeat with shorts on!

    It’s a good news/bad news situation for me. The good news is we are waay ahead of schedule on this project. The bad news is, I will make less money by finishing early. Oh well. It’s the world I work in.

    Grass is mowed. Sitting before a fan, in air conditioning, with a huge glass of iced water. Life is good. When the sweat finishes rolling off, I’ll take a cool shower.

    I picked up 9-volt batteries for all the smoke detectors in the children’s building. Seems like they all started beeping within a few days of each other. First the one behind the stage in the theater, then one of the ones on the ceiling in the theater (I’m glad someone else has to climb the 30 foot ladder for that one!!). I had gotten 10 batteries over the weekend. This morning the maintenance guru tells me he needed 20, not 10.

    Afternoon. Took Mom to the market in Ridgeland today for peas & found that the Abner’s on Pear Orchard is closed. :( I’ve seen an Abner’s on Hwy 80 but can’t remember where. I’ll have to find that one now, I guess.

    been busy day.. especially this afternoon. been moving people/offices around and setting up a couple of new people. I am getting to old to crawl on the floors and under desks.

    Well, I hope I solved my problem. I just bought a new computer and finally got it set up and hooked up and initilized, so this is its first test.
