Good morning! Headed to early church in a few. Y’all be sweet and play nicely.

All that talk about New Orleans and the coast, especially the Whitecap Restaurant, brought back a lot of memories. I’m sick of being in the city limits.

You may go back to your regularly scheduled activities now.

Good afternoon everyone. Here is something you haven’t heard me say. I went to church this morning. I have my own prayer services just about every evening at the cemetary. (No distractions other than watching the wildlife.) I have attended church off and on for years never being a member of one church or another, but I recall this young woman that PD fell in love with and not that I would ever be that same person, because of life changing events (life, death of my closet family and being just me). I feel there is more to my personal self than work and home.

Good for you PM! Who knows you might make some good friends at church that you can help and they can help you. Surprisingly, those who help you the most are those you help because by helping them you learn about others difficulties and learn how they approach the problems in life.

As a high school aged teen, I once had to train an acolyte (altar boy) to serve who was deaf. That presented some major challenges, but I learned a lot about deafness and grew to really appreciate people who were lacking one of the major senses we take for granted. BTW, he became a fine acolyte and learned to serve by himself with lots of poise and pride. In the long run, I think he helped me more than I helped him.

I was sitting here catching up on some reading and saw a doe and twin fawns come out into the yard. There was a doe that had twins here last year, and I’m thinking she’s done it again! They were absolutely beautiful… chasing each other around, then one ran up to mom to nurse. Spotted all over. Can’t be very old at all. They’ve gone back into the woods now and I didn’t get to my camera in time. I love seeing stuff like that.
I’ll be on the lookout for another appearance…
