Good morning to you all, hope you have a good, better day than yesterday and please may I be more productive than I was yesterday.

Prayers, hugs, and love to you all.

  2. Mrs. H says:

Sometimes, PM, we’re more productive than we realize: it’s just spread in a very thin layer over a wide area :) I’m praying for thick chunk of productivity for you today.

El found out when she got to school yesterday that she was taken out of Driver’s Ed this the semester. At registration last week, she expressed an interest in a new program called Teacher’s Academy. It’s for students who might like to be teachers. It’s a 2 year course. I’ve got to call the school today and find out how these classes are classified. History, Math and Science don’t seem to fit. I just want to make sure she doesn’t get to be a senior and not have enough of the correct credits to graduate. And I’d hate for her to have to drop band. Once I’m sure, I’ll feel better. Overall, it seems like a really good idea.

    Mornin y’all!

Chicklette started 8th grade yesterday. LOVES her English teacher (as usual), misses her math/computer teacher who left after last year to teach at Choctaw Central. M is excited, and looking forward to this school year. Me? I have a pile of paperwork to do. Catch y’all on the flip side.

Mawnin’ y’all. Just a hint of coolness in the air as school cranks up for the children.

Been reading about the expansion plans of the Gulfport harbor. Rather than spending millions upon millions trying to keep the canal deep enough and building an elevated road to handle the truck traffic, it seems to me that making use of the now abandoned Naval port in Pascagoula would be a win win situation for Mississippi. It’s already equipped for deep draft vessels and if a hurricane hit, the containers wouldn’t be blown all over town. Of course it wouldn’t be in Gulfport.

You make me homesick, OB. That’s a pretty good place for “bike watching” on a sunday afternoon.

I hope to be finished about thursday or so. Will have 8-10 days off while the rig moves and then our little project will continue.

  15. OldBopper says:

Hello Barb. Been missing you. It’s still hot, hot, and hotter.

Our eldest who lives in an upstairs apt. came home a couple of days ago to find her apartment filled with water and the neighbors experiencing indoor rain. The apartment complex installed the washing machine and the hose came loose somehow. The apartment has taken responsibility for the damages. At least there’s some good in there somewhere. Lord knows she needs a break.

  16. msblondie says:

what a busy day. I know I have accomplished alot, but feel has I not.

PM: M leaves on the 19th with classes starting that Tuesday. She is ready to go. We will finish getting the last few thing before we go up there. (They have a huge walmart and kroger so getting forgotten stuff and food won’t be hard).

Blues that is good news for you a short break but I know a needed one. I remember when my dad would pull those 21-28 days he was thankful to get a quick trip home.

Everyone be safe going home and have a good evening.
