Good morning! We lost our power this morning during the storm. Lightning took out a transformer and I am pleased to report, I saw an Entergy truck cursing around looking for the source of the problem. But it made getting out of the house (literarily thanks to power door openers) a pain.

Mornin!
Marshall, I’m glad you made it out!
The drive in this morning was not bad. I was able to see the storms in the distance, but didn’t really get into any bad stuff. Came through some pretty heavy rain in south Jtown, but just slowed down and it was fine.
Mornin. Stormed pretty heavily at my house this morning. One clap of thunder really shook the house. I was putting on makeup at the time. Sure am glad I didn’t have that mascara wand next to my eye when I jumped!
LOL!
Greetings from the well-site in the cow pasture next to the soybean field that runs along the bayou that feeds the Morganza Flood Control Spillway along with the Red, Atchfalaya, and Mississippi Rivers.
Sounds like some of the old legal descriptions I run across: “at the old oak tree, go south 700 feet to a fence post…” like that oak tree and fence post from 1902 are still gonna be there.
We found one REALLY old description that said “travel on horseback for 3 cigarettes to a point” Umm? 3 cigarettes?
I like that one.
morning gang! I have had a busy morning with the power outages. Gonna be a busy day.
everyone be good!
Morning! We had a heavy thunderstorm around 3 am, very loud. It has to be loud to wake me from a dead sleep. Looks like more is on the way.
Hope everyone has a great day!
Morning again all. Marshall sorry for your power outage as well as anyone else’s this morning. Stepdaughter and grandson at the house last night. Stayed up till midnight. They loaded up a couple things that her dad had given her. Then headed for her appointment in Brabdon. I made it in to work before 9:00 am and now I need a nap.
Blues glad you found you place in the sun in the boonies. Definitely sounds like a road less traveled by your description.
Everyone have a good day.
I need a break! I’m covered up in paperwork. Will be working tomorrow. Boss doesn’t generally see clients on Friday so he thinks Fridays are quiet and we have nothing to do. Just because HE doesn’t have anything to do, doesn’t I have nothing to do. Yesterday, he was giving me instructions on several extra things he wants done and “since there’s nothing to do on Fridays, do it then.” Yeah, right. Like all the work piled up on my desk is going to magically disappear overnight on Thursday. Got here this morning and it’s all still here. I have 5 trusts (w/powers of attorney, etc for each spouse along with the trust itself), 2 other powers of attorney, a will, 2 quitclaim deeds and lot of letters to financial instutions to get done. Yeah, I have nothing to do on Fridays.
Ok, break (and rant) is over. Gotta get back to all the work I don’t have. See ya.
Molly since you dant have anything to do you can come help me :). J/k
I feel you, Molly. I’m busier than a cat in a sand box.
A three legged cat I’ll bet!
Howdy! A miracle-I’m posting before noon!
I left some snarky comments last night/this morning on the Thursday FFA. Heh.
Someone please come kick me in the right knee so my back will quit hurting!! (kidding) Tonight is out first game of the season! Yay!! I do love me some football! I know the Saints are playing too, but these high school games are just awesome.
AW, you reminded me of a song. Let’s see who knows it (NO GOOGLING!!)
Woke last night to the sound of thunder
How far off, I sat and wondered.
Started humming a song from 1962
Ain’t it funny how the ________ ______
Just don’t seem to have as much to lose.
Ain’t it strange how the _____ _____
With Autumn closing in.
Night Moves (w/out googling)
Don’t have a clue.
Now, name the year.
1976 (I had already googled that)
We’re having a replay of the boomers we heard earlier this morning. Raining so hard the gutters can’t flow fast enough. This too will be over shortly.
I was painting base boards that we removed in our remodel over in the shop this morning. I was afraid I was going to be stuck over there all day. It finally stopped raining. It’s much cooler and breezy. I’m hoping it stays that way for our first game tonight.
I bet those garbage men were cursing while driving around this morning. Cursing while crusing…could be a song.
cruising
Howdy! Mom & I just got home from V’Burg. Had to go pick up Meg (grand-dog). She’ll be with me until Labor Day weekend. She’s such a sweetheart. Really wish she could talk, though. One of these days when I have a grandchild that talks as much as Cub did I’ll think back on this & be thankful…Ha!
We’re on our way to Jerry’s Catfish House for lupper (that’s between lunch and supper) for some whole all-you-can eat catfish! Happy Weekend!!!
Disaster averted: El’s band shirt was located in Em’s basket of clean clothes.
Carry on.
Thank goodness!
Flying through, *saluting*, glad everybody is doing well. I’m still here but busy. Mrs. H. you surely do keep with a lot these days.
Blues, catch a crab or a catfish for me while you are that close to the water.
I normally eat 4 whole catfish tops, but tonight I ate 5. I think I was hypnotized because my eyelids are getting heavy; I’m getting sleepy, very sleepy…
My kittie girls are keeping their distance, they come in the house but stay near the door. Having guest last night just upset the routine. They should be back to normal tomorrow. I saw several deer at the cemetary this evening they are such beautiful animals. Funny all the years of going to Yazoo City I never heard a deer, but have heard a doe holler or what ever you call it and only can speak of one that I ever saw on the property. I would see lots of signs of them though. I hope everyones high school football games come out the way you want them to tonight.
MrsH glad you found El’s band shirt. I hope tomorrow I feel better than I did today. I came home and laid on the couch and dozed through a show that I like.
7:51 am Saturday. Good morning :)
Good morning! My baby is 30 today and half way down the coast of Florida.
Happy Birthday to you baby, LegalE :)
