Good morning!! Looking forward to going to church shortly. I slipped into the coffee room and dropped off a box of donuts. I smell the coffee in the pot and wonder how something that smells so good just doesn’t taste that good. Enjoy Blues, oh and one of them is gone they didn’t short change me at Shipleys’.
Mornin!
I was completely worthless yesterday and enjoyed it completely. Watched a movie I didn’t even know existed. It was the Star Trek prequil (sp?) and it was really good.
May be meeting Baby Girl for lunch later. Other than that, it’s laundry and resting.
Hope everyone has a good day!
I guess it’s the one that came out a few years ago that showed how Capt. Kirk and Spock and all of them met. To me, that was the best Star Trek movie of them all.
I was pleasantly surprised when I watched that Star Trek!
Wanders in/gets coffee grabs a donut/thanks,PM/ummm, gets another.
doing science-y stuff today. Should be an easy one. I like easy.
When I said I wasn’t even going to ask under Cardinallady’s comment on yesterday’s FFA, I was talking about her wrenched hip socket. My comment somehow ended up under the serpent remarks, but it was about the hip.
I was visiting with A yesterday and the storm changed it projected path 3 times in the 8 or so hours I was there. Sure hope it changes again, or at least doesn’t grow in strength.
Afternoon home from church. Chocolate milkshake for lunch. Now time for the parrot to have a shower, then a couple of tapes to put to DVD.
GRRR!!! iTunes I am trying to do a free download from KLove. I have done this several times and it says my password to iTunes is invalid. Yet, I can purchase a song and the same password works? go figure.
Howdy folks. Remember the bottom line for next few days is: When you trust God, you don’t have to worry about tomorrow (or the next day!) And then there’s one of our core beliefs: I will make the wise choice (which in this case is to be prepared.) Tomorrow, we’ll be taking everything from the front porch and putting it over in the shop. Currently our bedroom is completely empty. The carpet isn’t due until September 5th, and I didn’t want to move the bed in, then out for the carpet, then BACK in again. So, if we have to house family from farther south, we have plenty of room for air mattresses. I expect Mr. H’s mom will claim the couch, like she always does.
Afternoon, went to church, picked Mom up and took her to the Meadows. II just finished lunch and now I hear my couch calling!!
Mr. H showed me this link:

It is the track of the storm updated as a slide show. You can see how the projected path changes over time. Pretty cool.
MrsH very wise decision making. Seven years ago when Katrina came through PD and I came home that weekend before to batton down the hatches then went back to Houston, TX. That year we were either chasing or being chased by Hurricanes. We were lucky that we were there and not hear during all the turmoil. We came home two days before Rita hit Houston that same year. I know God was with us then. I was worried about PD and did not have time to worry about the weather too—God is Good!!!
Cleaned up some in my computer room. I have the desked cleaned off now and need to get started on some 8mm reel to reels. I have been procrastinating and putting off tomorrow what I should have already done. My stepdaughter took the stereo that belonged to PD that came from her grandmother so now I have a real place for my cedar chest once again. I now have it in place and my dining room almost looks like one again.
4:45 p.m. It’s raining, it’s pouring, the old man is snoring, here in Pearl, Mississippi.
Greetings from Mountain View! Went to church this morning with Momma and J.W. and then we went out to eat. Finally decided to give in and come into town for a wifi hookup. The IPhone is nice but not really a substitute for a computer.
Heading back tomorrow. Glad I gassed up my car before we left and got extra gas and propane too. Hope I don’t have to use any of it, but….if we do…..
FX (Family eXperience) tonight at church. Learned about Respect. It was a lot of fun. On the way home, the eldest called. They made a reservation at our house for Tuesday.
Glad they are being safe.
