Sunday Free-For-All

I did something today I’ve needed to do for two years: I slept late.

How’s your day?

    Mornin!

Had another great day/night with my Baby Girl and grands. About to head south to do laundry and such.

Hope everyone is having a great day!

Lunch time after church! We moved all our plants in yesterday in prep for the freeze that’s coming!

    Have a great day!

Fall Family eXperience at church tonight. I think I have inherited a new job: sound booth. I like it much better than being on stage. I think it’s much more useful, too. The mark of a good sound man: no one noticing there even is one!

Still recovering. See last night’s post on Saturday FFA.

Afternoon! Cub is on his way home from the ballgame in Arkansas and has requested chicken & dumplings for dinner. Perfect meal for a cold day!

I wish you would tell me how you make chicken and dumplings. BE loves them, but they just don’t taste like those made by people who actually know how to make them good. Ours are tasteless, even though we tried adding cream of celery soup.

    Clucky, congrats to the band!!

Doing laundry…about to become “medium natural brown”. ha! Supposed to take 10 minutes. We’ll see if the HerbaShine (with bamboo extract) lives up to it’s “ammonia free” name and meets my expectations! There’s so much marketing on the box, I don’t know what to expect. I may have to find some scissors, too…

Ok…so, YES, I bought another box of “natural gray coverage”…so sue me…

    I want chicken & dumplings!!

    Congrats to your Nephew MsB.

Yumm Chick and dumps sounds awesome. Coop, good luck with your new look, I hope you like it. Clucky congrats to the Pride Of Union. They do have something to be proud of. MrsH I would prefer behind the scenes too! Hope you are all prepared for another cold night and morning. BRRRR!!!!

    Off to church.

Parrotmom, BE came home from his aunt’s house anyway since he couldn’t sleep in a recliner. I had turned our gas oven on and cracked the door and we were fine. We are going to have to find a dependable heater man who will actually show up and then get the job done reasonably.

Since I stayed up until a little after 3:00 a.m., I didn’t get up until 12:30 and just got through drinking coffee not too long ago. I think we’re going to get some sushi (or bait).

    • Old Bopper says:

Legal, sounds like you need a new thermocouple. A relatively simple fix. You can get the part at most any hardware store. Check internet for directions. Then remove the old one and take to the hardware store for a replacement.

Using an oven for heat is a risky proposition.

I would probably do dirty deeds for chicken and dumplings. Makes me miss Mama; she could COOK.

  10. pncpnthr says:

My chicken & dumplings is not a recipe. I just use self-rising flour, Crisco and ice water. I boil a whole chicken, cook the dumplings in the broth, then add the de-boned chicken.

  11. dhcoop says:

Don’t let her fool you, her chicken and dumplins are awesome!

LOVE my new hair…although it’s a bit more auburn (as in RED), than I would normally do… oh well… it’ll wash out, and for now, looks pretty darn good! Cut about an inch off. It always feels good to have a new look (or maybe just to get rid of the gray).

The friendly sushi guy at China Buffet in front of Wal-Mart pilled my plate high a while ago. He suggested the raw tuna and raw salmon, so I tried them and they were delicious as were all of the other sushi dishes and buffet items.
