Nice picture! Is any of that snow left? It’s all gone at the Rez. Sure am glad Rankin County canceled school for the day – not.

  2. parrotmom says:

Morning everyone. I chuckled Molly that the men were afraid to drive in, I liked AW’s comment about the man card.

AW I love to watch the snowfall, but knew I needed to sleep during our SNOWgeddon S Clucky called it. The kittie girls wanted out at 5:00 this morning. I wished I could have seen their reaction when they got to the white stuff that used to be grass. Time to get busy hope you all have a grand day. Love the sunshine.

Molly, Clinton has figured out a delayed start and it worked beautifully this morning. Roughly two hours later start in the morning; same dismissal time in the afternoon. School personnel are there at regular time in case parents need to go to work. Everyone is safe and no day to make up! I am thrilled.

    • Molly says:

I knew Clinton was doing that today. Another benefit is that Clinton won’t have to make up the day.
If Rankin County had started late today, Kiddo would have just gone to school after lunch since today was her day for morning classes at Hinds.

Yes the snow was pretty. I hope the kids enjoyed it while it lasted.

Ok.. M asked me to share something that DSU is doing here in town next weekend at Hal & Mal’s. She said share with your friends as well. I am hoping this link works.

Afternoon! Been out taking pictures of folks playing in the snow here. We got about 4 inches at my house. I had a great time. The chickens didn’t know what to think though. I just called and ordered a small box of scrap wood so I can build a fire in the hearth tonight.

I put a bag of snow in the deep freeze for jon boy becaue he didn’t get any in booneville. Now to get our pictures planned! Yall have a good afternoon. Boy my feet are wet.

When I woke up about 7:15 the ground was still brown, the snow was just starting, within 45 minutes it was WHITE. Looked like a Christmas card. it has been a great day.

Oh, and I FOUND MY GLASSES!!! PRAISE GOD. Just don’t tell my boss I lost .. er, misplaced them. He is the one who arranged for me to get them last December.

  7. Clucky says:

Our school was the only one open in the area. Several wrecks due to icy roads later, they sent them home at 930. Stupid waste of resources-I’m right across from district office. At 630 this morning, it was snowing so hard you couldn’t see the building. Most of us let our kids stay home anyway. They knew better…

I woke up around 3 with the beginnings of a cold. Yay.

  8. parrotmom says:

So sorry Clucky hope you have some good home meds for it.

Evening all. AW how much snow did you end up with today. I have a friend from North Carolina they went to Gatlinburg today. She said it was a 4 hour trip for them but wast taking longer due to the bad weather. When they made the plans they were not aware of the possible changes in the weather. I bet it is beautiful.

Hope you all stay warm. Stormie seems to be doing a lot better today he ate his supper which he had been turning his beak too! I see a dentist on Monday about my broken tooth to see what has to be done to it. Apparently the dentist that did that filling did an awesome job considering it has been their for forty plus years.

I am NOT a fan of American Idol. I did enjoy the concert of the top 10 last summer, but hate the show. And this year’s lineup of judges is particularly nauseating. However, I am about to suffer through at least part of an episode because another local kid is auditioning. She’s a junior at NWR with Kiddo. If you watch, look for Bailey Golee from Flowood.

  10. Mrs. H says:

Em and El said there were a few flakes in town today, but I didn’t see any. The Maintenance Guru and I will be working to move me into a new office (Mark’s old office) tomorrow. I have been looking at the same old-lady-wallpaper-border for 14 years. It was there when I moved in and will be gone shortly after I move out. My old office will get a fresh coat of paint and be ready for a new children&youth pastor when the Lord puts us together with the man He has ready for us. I’m so excited about new office space. We through away a ton of stuff today.

We will get a marker for him when we can. Moo doesn’t understand what has happen to his friend.. He has been depressed this evening. Our for babies are just tat our babies.

    • cardinallady says:

    Evenin!

The snow was beautiful this morning. No problems driving in, thank goodness.

Just talked to Big Sis on Skype. I know she’s only been gone for a couple of days, but it’s cool to talk on the phone and see her at the same time! I don’t really understand it, but it’s cool.

Blondie, I am so sorry to hear about your kittiekid. We do get so attached. I don’t understand people that don’t understand that.
