Sneezing my head off. I feel a sinus/allergy/bronchitis bug trying to jump on me.
    GIT ON OUTTA HEEYA!!

Howdy. Monday was crazy busy. Spent the weekend w/the in-laws. Good visit, and she was so much better.

    {soapbox}
Please donate blood when and if you can. Our family thanks you.

I had no clue u could have a white blood cell count and platelets that low and still be conscious. Tough lady. Doing so much better! One treatment remaining, doc plans to cut dose by 75%. I know that what doesn’t kill us makes us stronger, but chemo sure has gotten too close a couple of times. I wish she could just stop where she is; not sure she can take another round. Keep praying-it sure is working!
T minus 72 hours til I celebrate (HA) the 21st anniversary of my 21st birthday!

MR, just wanted you to know the family thought I totally lost my marbles when I reax your “Haley’s Weekly Planner” toon on Sunday. I had tears, snot and hysterical laughter. Sorry dude, but I see a copywrite infringement about to happen. I just GOTTA print that one to hang in my office!!

  5. Clucky says:

    Figured as much.

Hon, I hope you know by now how much we like to rib you because it’s usually fun to watch you throw it back :)

Tuesday = last day of school. Already. Where did the year go? I must admit that if the girl’s hormones are going to keep this attitude working, we may need to consider “boarding” school. Dang, but that attitude-and EYE-ROLLING. It’s gonna be a long six years. Then again, no, it won’t. I’ll just listen to Martina sing “Teenage Daughters” over and over…

    • Mrs. H says:

I don’t usually listen to country music, but the girls had the station changed and “Teenage Daughters” came on. What a great song! It is where I live.

  9. cardinallady says:

Mornint! Flitting in. It is a beautiful chilly morning here! I just polished off a jumbo honey bun in memory of my Grandma Butler. (I know, I know, I’m 50 and my blood sugar is about to spike, but maybe I can handle it just one day.)

I woke up 27 years ago today with the realization that I would never get to go spend another moment with Grandma this side of heaven. Her way of consoling me when I was a kid was to feed me a jumbo honeybun. It works, in spite of fighting back tears while you are swallowing black coffee.

  10. parrotmom says:

  14. The Real Jb says:

Somebody hold me back from slapping this little irritating lady that I have to work with.

    • Mrs. H says:

Stop what you’re doing right now and pray for that lady and your attitude toward her. Honestly, you (especially YOU) know that this will improve things immensely.

      • The Real Jb says:

I promise you if I wasn’t a Christian I would…I’m just saying that Jesus may have just saved her life.

Sorry Mrs. H…I do pray for her and I try my best to be nice and forgiving…but sometimes.

    • Crystalbutterfly says:

I think we all have a co-worker that we feel that way about and yes I have to pray every day a few dozen times a day that the Lord give me strenght to show His love for her.
I have this on my computer: Dear God, Help me to pray first when troubles come my way & save me from doubt through Your mercy & grace. Amen

  15. Molly says:

Mornin. Sorry I can’t check in as much.
New employee is driving me nuts. She spends most of her day on personal email and facebook. Her husband recently left her and, while I feel for her, I am not a marriage counselor! Neither is our boss, but she won’t leave him alone. She has to constantly be told that we have work to do.
Today, less than 2 weeks into her employment, I told her I will be taking a couple of days off and she will have the front office to herself. She immediately said, “When? I want this Friday off, so you can’t be gone then.” Seriously? She’s gonna tell me, her supervisor, that I can’t take off time that I have earned, because she, after 9 days of work, wants a day off???? I don’t think so.
I’m taking off some next week and not this Friday, so there is no conflict. I can’t believe, though, that she just assumes she can take a day off already. It shouldn’t be a problem, but she hasn’t bothered to ASK.

    • parrotmom says:

Wow!!! Molly I can’t believe they have kept her this long if she is not trying to do her work.

    • cardinallady says:

I believe I’d be tempted to tell her that she can have dayyyyssss off permanently if she wishes.

    • Crystalbutterfly says:

Molly, don’t you just love co-workers like that I have one that thinks she knows everything I try to do my work and just leave her to hers. the boss needs to talk to her about bringing her personal life to work I know that I get on here some and on fb some during the day but I get my work done and on time.

    • Molly says:

I really think she is a great secretary….if she would just harness her powers. Lots of experience, just too much drama in personal life interfering. I haven’t said anything to the boss yet. I’m hoping that as more responsibility is given to her, some issues will work themselves out.

  16. cardinallady says:

All you cat lovers will love the following story. True story, mind you. Happened on the Butler hill this past weekend while mama Butler was home alone without CardinalSon.

I have this beautiful orange tiger cat that is about a year to 18 months old. He is a ferel cat and has never let me touch him. Saturday morning I noticed he was breathing heavily and salivating heavily. I picked him up with tears in my eyes. I knew at the rate of the breathing that he would soon be gone from life. although he never let me touch him, he was always around. He went to the chicken pen every morning and camped out just outside of the fence after I let the chickens out and would be swinging in the swing. Hs friendly face and meow often cheered my day.

I quarantined him in a box in the storage room with a lid. I dug his grave. I spent the day Saturday going back to the box and picking him up and petting him. On Sunday morning, I went to the little room to pick him up and bury him. I took the lid off of the box and an orange streak popped up and shot out of the storage room. I was taken aback at how fast he ran. The cat is still hanging out on the hill. I guess he still has eight more lives. Oh well, on the bright side, I have his grave ready when he uses them up.

Footnote: I have decided that he got something in his nasal passage and somehow the box rest must have gotten it out because he is breating much better now.

  17. Mrs. H says:

Mrs. Mac just brought me a plate from the senior adult luncheon! Mmmmmm….

  18. dhcoop says:

I’m eating some veggies with ranch dressing and about to fix a turkey sandwich.

I just heard some news that has me a bit discombobulated. The president of my bank in Raymond killed himself last night. WTH?

  19. The Real JB says:

Just got some good news…a couple that I’ve been counseling and praying for just told me that they have stopped the divorce proceedings to give counseling a shot.

  20. msblondie says:

had to get out of the office a bit.. so took my mom to lunch.. she is also having another monday. So we went to Newk’s for chicken salad sandwiches and Potato soup. It was yummy

Now to stay awake the rest of the afternoon.

  21. The Real JB says:

I had Firehouse Subs today. First time. Good. Do you all have those in MS?

  22. dhcoop says:

I’m about to head north to be with my family. I’ll check in when I can. Liable to be a tough day tomorrow.

    TTFN!

  23. parrotmom says:
