Good morning to you all it is Friday. Marshall I hope you had some rest last night after your long hours of working. Hope you all have a great day.

  2. Mrs. H says:

CARPET DAY!!!!! I can sleep in my own room tonight!

In other news, Baby Jane will be remaining in the hospital over the weekend. The homecoming is scheduled for MONDAY. We’re planning on lining the road with signs and people and we’re trying to keep that a secret from her mom and dad. They’ve had to increase the amount of formula in her bottle with just about every feeding. For someone who wasn’t supposed to live more than a few minutes, she’s busting all odds!
Clucky (or others), in pictures of her I see a very small tube not much wider than insulated wire which has been inserted up her nose. Do you know what this might be monitoring? It’s the only thing that you see that indicates she’s not 100% ready for home. It’s been there since day 1.

    • Molly says:

Unless they can now eliminate the “new carpet” smell, I would have to move out of the house for about a week. Just thinking about that stench gives me a headache!

      • Mrs. H says:

At the moment, every floor in the house is stained concrete (the slab). It actually looks like leather. I haven’t smelled new carpet in over 20 years!

  3. Mrs. H says:

Leagle, if we lived closer to the Jackson area, I would have called your guys. I think the transportation would have made the cost a bit higher than budgeted to come down here.

    • Legal Eagle says:

They work all over the state and have even been hired to go out of state on some large commercial jobs. They did the floors on a couple of the casinos in Vicksburg and just finished a huge car dealership in Vicksburg. They have done a lot of work on the coast and around, so y’all keep them in mind if you have any flooring needs. Thank you and you may now go back to your regularly scheduled programs.

Happy Friday y’all! Headed to Cardinal Lady’s land in an hour or so to look at and ride a prospective bike. I am not beyond coming back in the car if I don’t like what I see. But I’m taking my riding gear just in case.

CL we will be in Algoma. If we were downtown, I’d give you a call.

    • cardinallady says:

Algoma. LOL! OB I can get to Algoma faster than you can get from your house to the next store in Jackson. It’s only 10 minutes away, and not a lot of traffic. I LOVE Pontotoc County.

  5. Molly says:

Mornin. I’m tired. This week has been killer at work. And my work week won’t end today. I’ll be here tomorrow, too. Yay me! Don’t mind the overtime pay, though. I will have more than 40 hours of actual work hours this week — Monday doesn’t count since it was a holiday.
Have a good day. I’ll try to check in later.

    Mornin

MrsH, I sure am glad to hear the babe is doing so well.

  7. Airwolf says:

Morning! I cut grass at the farm until dark yesterday! Now if I had it cut here at home I’d be caught up for the moment!

I suspect OB is going to ride a new bike home!

    Off to get a haircut!

I have nothing scheduled to do today. Yesterday, I had 5 tables lined up for bridge. That’s 20 people. I lost my phone (yes, again) and found it in the car as we were leaving. BE had a meeting at the Colonial Country Club at noon, so I told him to just drop me off at the senior center on his way and I took my book with me so I would have something to do until game time at 1:00 p.m. When I found my phone (which had slipped between the car seat and door), I had 7 missed calls. One player had a stomach virus and another one had something, so I ended up calling 2 more and asking them if they would mind not playing yesterday, so that worked out and I had 4 even tables. The only thing, when BE dropped me off at 11:30 a.m., I got out of the car, walked to the door of the senior center and there was a sign on the door that they were closed until 12:30. I sat on the curb (about 4 inches high) until 12:15, when one of the directors got back from lunch early. I’m reading Patricia Cornwell’s “Red Mist” right now.

Afternoon. Just got home from running Mom around (that sounds funny). She wanted to get new flowers for my grandparents’ grave before the funeral tomorrow. Someone had already replaced them when we got to the cemetery. My cousins’ stone was place just a few weeks ago and has two places for flowers so they all matched. Her sister will be buried beside her tomorrow & I’m sure the stone placed for her will be the same. It’s been a long week.

Hope everyone has a good weekend. Still looking for the cooler weather…

  11. Clucky says:

MrsH, I’m not sure, but it might be a feeding tube. (NG tube) I haven’t done neonatal/newborn nursing since Chicklette was born.

Tonight’s game will be our first non-raining home game of the year. We’re playing Enterprise, and it’s always a good game. Rivals for sure, more so with band than football. It promises to be a good one! I sure wish the predicted cold front would blow in before 730!

Well, Mama Cat is still here. She had disappeared until late yesterday (after the vet closed, of course. I’m feeding her special high nutrition wet food from the vet to (hopefully) strengthen her up. I just knew yesterday when she didn’t come up all day that she was gone for good! She may be on life #7 for now!

  12. dhcoop says:

I’m about to get ready to head north. Gonna go up and spend the night with A & Poppy. Looking forward to seeing them both! We’ll be going to the funeral in the morning together, then back to her house. Baby Girl is coming up tomorrow with A’s birthday present (A’s birthday is tomorrow).

    Y’all have a good evening.

  13. parrotmom says:

Safe travels Coop. Prayers for your family.

Hope everyone has a great weekend. Mine will be busy tonight and tomorrow afternoon. I now have the pickup officially in my name. Do I want to drive it? YES!!! but when and where too?

  14. Old Bopper says:

Well I showed “Bleuz” the way to his new home. He’s a 2012, Yamaha 950 Tourer with just a shade over 2,000 miles on him. Oh, and he is blue in color. He’s well balanced and belt driven, with good pep. Hope we can share lots of good times together. He and Boule are sharing the carport.

  15. Old Bopper says:

Thanks AW. While I’ve still got two machines, if you want to ride one with me to finish the Trace, just say the word.

  16. OldBopper says:

Happy Saturday! I hope Mr&MrsH got to sleep in their new bedroom last evening. My motorcycle group wanted to ride this morning, but I think we’re gonna be drowned out. Late this afternoon and tomorrow should be perfect for riding. Not riding the new one much. The person I bought it from had it financed so he has to pay off his loan and then send me the title. It may be a week or so before I can get a tag for it.

Wishing you all a great Saturday.

  17. Mrs. H says:

yes, we did get to move into the new room. Wow! It is so nice. The guys got here about 3:30. They went straight to work. While they were working, Mr. H disassembled our bed for the move. Because the original room was so small, it only had the bed, 2 night tables and a cedar chest. We were able to get it all back and still make it to the football game before the first quarter was half way gone. Oh, Wayne County was ahead 37-0 in the 3rd quarter, so we left. Ouch! Their band did a “Hunger Games” show. Very entertaining.

Mr. H is starting the man cave/office today in the room we just vacated. :)

  18. Mrs. H says:

Clucky, you were right about the feeding tube. We just got the update that it’s been removed!!

  19. parrotmom says:

Good Saturday Morning the time is 8:40 am

  20. parrotmom says:

OB congrats on Bleuz I hope you have many safe rides with him.

MrsH congrats on your new room and thanks for keeping us updated on the baby’s condition. I am so glad she is thriving. Do they know if she has any signs of the birth defect or were their testing just so far off?

I made it home last night at 10:00 wow what a late night for me, I don’t stay for the rehearsal dinners, but when I was invited a few weeks back I accepted. The food and the people were wonderful. Tonight is the late night I may not be home till midnight or after.

Today would be PD’s 56th birthday. I guess I am celebrating it in a fashion he would approve of. I will be watching a new couple dedicate themselves before God and friends.

Love, hugs, and prayers for you all.
